Hurt Dictionary: Spiritual Dictionary on Capricorn

Capricorn: The Pragmatist

Key Phrase: I USE

The most ambitious sign of the zodiac, Capricorn is focused, cautious, and sensible. As the Cardinal Earth sign of the zodiac, Capricorn knows how to make the best use of the material, physical plane. The patience and discipline seen in Capricorn can help to provide a stable foundation for growth. But Capricorn can also resist change and become controlling, inhibited, and rigid. Symbolized by the Goat, Capricorn prefers the sure-footed path toward ascension, and will stand firm for a long time rather than back down. When hurt, Capricorn can be melancholy; when uncertain, driven by fears. Sometimes thought of as miserly, Capricorn rather prefers to be responsible and frugal, making the best use of all resources. Through its connection with the energy of Saturn, Capricorn desires to be the quintessential authoritarian. Where you see Capricorn in your chart, you find a need for structure and conscientious effort.

Hurt Dictionary: Spiritual Dictionary on Black Magic

Black Magic: Black Magick's aim is to harm yourself or another either purposely or accidentally. Some magicians feel that it would not be working to hurt someone else, except that they, themselves will suffer as a consequence. "As you sow, so shall ye reap" is not merely a philosophical aphorism to a magician, it is an actual physical fact. Most magicians do not want to chance getting "zapped" by the law of Karma for a foolish act of Black Magick.

Hurt Dictionary: Do Good Naturally, Not Out of Duty

As a teenager I always carried some cotton, antiseptic and a bandage in my pocket. After all, someone could get hurt. One day, I was in a bus. A fellow passenger got hurt. Here was my chance to become a hero, I thought excitedly. Out came my kit. I applied some antiseptic on her bruise and bandaged it.

Another passenger looked at me and said: "Do you know, you have caused this bruise - indirectly." I was taken aback. He continued: "You waited for someone to fall and get hurt so that you could use your medical kit." My take on nishkaama karma, selfless action, had failed.

Hurt Dictionary: Have Indigos Lived Before?

This is a good question and one with differing viewpoints, not only amongst interested persons, but also different messages between the channelings of different entities. It's an interesting question. Why do we want to know this? Well, there is some thought that knowing about past lives will help figure out current life karmic lessons.

Also, I've heard it said that some Indigos seem to have no compassion - that they just don't understand why someone else would be angry or hurt or sad about various issues that come up and therefore inadvertently hurt others feelings. If this is true, then they would need training specific to this. I've also heard that Indigos are particularly empathic and compassionate and will go out of their way to help someone who is hurting. This contradicts the first idea, so which is it??

Hurt Dictionary: An Agnostic's View Of Life and Death

The one principle that should be at the core of any religious belief is ahimsa or non-violence - not to hurt any life, human or otherwise.

Killing is not right. Killing animals to eat them is not a civilised thing to do, but carnivores exist in nature and in many places, humans have to subsist on non-vegetarian food for reasons beyond their control. But wherever possible, vegetarianism must be practised.

Hurt Dictionary: Spiritual Practice of Sadhana

Purify

Spirituality means growing into the form of Divine Ideal. It is the transformation of your nature from human to Divine. This is brought about by Abhyasa, i.e., spiritual practice or Sadhana and Vairagya leading to renunciation.

From "Easy Steps to Yoga" by Sri Swami Sivananda.

Hurt Dictionary: Sahaja Yoga - The physics of Sahaja Yoga

Sahaja Yoga - The physics of Sahaja Yoga

I will try to explain Sahaja Yoga in the simplest way, but please note that it is really complicated if you want to know it in detail. The best way to enjoy television is first to switch it on and watch. Then later you can try to understand its engineering.

Hurt Dictionary: Creative Forgiveness Springs from Love

We need to find truth, love and forgiveness even in the midst of hatred, destruction and pride. Napoleon said: "What astonishes me most in this world is the inability of force to create anything. In the long run the sword is always beaten by the spirit". In so saying Napoleon touched upon an important principle of forgiveness. That forgiveness is creative and it springs from love. It is the ability to embrace the pain of injury to oneself, while extending one's hands in love.
