A
Christian theological definition of Humility according to CARM - The Christian
Apologetics & Research Ministry:
" Humility The attitude of the Christian that teaches us not to "...think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment..." (Rom. 12:3). It teaches us to prefer others over ourselves (Rom. 12:10). It is knowing our true position before God. It is not self-abasement or demeaning one's self. "God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). Humility is necessary to be a disciple of Jesus (Matt. 18:3-4). The humility of Jesus is described in Philippians 2:5-8, "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross!" (NIV). "

Hinduism Dictionary on Raja Yoga
raja yoga: (Sanskrit) "King of yogas." Also known as ashtanga yoga, "eight-limbed yoga." The classical yoga system of eight progressive stages to Illumination as described in various yoga Upanishads, the Tirumantiram and, most notably, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The eight limbs are as follows. 1) yama: "Restraint." Virtuous and moral living, which brings purity of mind, freedom from anger, jealousy and subconscious confusion which would inhibit the process of meditation. 2) niyama: (Sanskrit) "Observance." Religious practices which cultivate the qualities of the higher nature, such as devotion, cognition, humility and contentment- giving the refinement of nature and control of mind needed to concentrate and ultimately plunge into samadhi. 3) asana: "Seat or posture." A sound body is needed for success in meditation. This is attained through hatha yoga, the postures of which balance the energies of mind and body, promoting health and serenity, e.g., padmasana, the "lotus pose," for meditation. The Yoga Sutras indicate that asanas make the yogi impervious to the impact of the pairs of opposites (dvandva), heat-cold, etc. 4) pranayama: "Mastering life force." Breath control, which quiets the chitta and balances ida and pingala. Science of controlling prana through breathing techniques in which lengths of inhalation, retention and exhalation are modulated. Pranayama prepares the mind for deep meditation. 5) pratyahara: "Withdrawal." The practice of withdrawing consciousness from the physical senses first, such as not hearing noise while meditating, then progressively receding from emotions, intellect and eventually from individual consciousness itself in order to merge into the Universal. 6) dharana: "Concentration." Focusing the mind on a single object or line of thought, not allowing it to wander. The guiding of the flow of consciousness. When concentration is sustained long and deeply enough, meditation naturally follows. 7) dhyana: "Meditation." A quiet, alert, powerfully concentrated state wherein new knowledge and insight pour into the field of consciousness. This state is possible once the subconscious mind has been cleared or quieted. 8) samadhi: "Enstasy," which means "standing within one's self." "Sameness, contemplation." The state of true yoga, in which the meditator and the object of meditation are one. See: yoga, asana, samadhi, raja yoga.

Spiritual Dictionary on Amethyst
Amethyst: Amethyst is a regal violet gemstone with whitish stripes. The purple color comes from the presence of manganese during its formation. It is a form of crystallized quartz, composed of silica. It is found mostly in Brazil. Amethyst is a radiant gemstone, meaning that its energies are expansive. It is said that when you meditate with amethyst you are helping the Earth, because the violet ray will help to transform the entire world into a better place. It is the most highly valued stone in the quartz group. It has many supernatural powers. It is said to bring luck, ensure constancy, protect against magic and homesickness. It has long been known to help against drunkenness. Violet has a calming effect upon the nervous system. Insomnia may be relieved by gently rubbing an amethyst on the temples or forehead, and can be used for tension and migraine headaches. It is one of the best to use for meditation. It is here to teach the lesson of humility, to “Let go and let God.” Amethyst is very useful for people grieving over lost loved ones, as it subliminally communicates that there is no death. Amethyst is recommended for stimulating greater love, and attunement for healing forces. In directing the energy of the amethyst to the lungs, relief may be obtained for asthma and circulation problems. You can recharge your own energy by holding an amethyst over the crown chakra, third eye, or heart chakra. A very high vibration centered in love, balance, and harmony will be transferred.

Sai Baba Dictionary on Bhakthi
Bhakthi:
Bhakthi: Reverent Adoration, (RRV-1), devotion (BV-36). Adoring the Supreme with the greatest possible Love is called Bhakthi, the (9) modes (path) of devotion. (RRV2-2): 1. Sravanam: listening to stories of the Lord's lilas or plays 2. Kirtanam: chanting of God's glories 3. Smaranam: remembering the presence of the Lord constantly 4. Padasevanam: Pada means feet. Seva means service. This is when you get to blend your practice of karma yoga (seva) with bhakti. In doing your duty and serving humanity, develop the bhava that you are serving and worshiping the Lord's Feet. 5. Archanam: Worship of God through rituals such as puja 6. Vandanam: prostration. The yogi expresses his respect and love to god by prostrating physically to the ground thereby developing humility 7. Dasyam: The devotee is developing the feeling of being the Lord's servant. This will weed out pride, selfishness, arrogance and egoism which are all based on avidya. 8. Sakhyam: Feeling of friendship. This bhava helps the devotees establish a personal relationship with God picturing him as his best friend. One should be ready to do anything for their friend. 9. Atmanivedanam: Complete surrender of self. The term bhakti is often translated as devotion or love but rarely as surrender. Actually surrender is the highest aspect of bhakti. One's ego is totally offered to the Lord and nothing but the atman remains and non duality is experienced.

INFLATION
INFLATION Psychic inflation is much worse than economic inflation. It refers to believing that an idealized image is actually one's real self. Sometimes this can be an archetypal image. Jung describes it as a morbid condition in which the ego becomes exaggerated and, together with the unconscious, invades the self. A real prophet, says Jung, does not identify with god, but says, "a spirit has spoken to me." By keeping the spirit outside we can try to measure up to it. But in inflation, the ego projects its own hatreds, flaws, wekanesses, evils and ugliness onto others (while simultaneously denying their presence in itself) and it grows increasingly unconcerned with the world's reaction. Whereas in the Middle Ages people developed religious inflation (thought they were God), in modern society the affliction is more likely to be political and rationalistic and, in the name of reason, we like to deny the reality of the unconscious altogether. Psychically inflated ego is also pernicious because it generates further ego inflation in others. An inflated person is a neurotic with whom nobody can deal because no one ever knows which is the real person. Inflation can only be overcome by a balance of patience and humility, and self-analysis of the ego at all times.

Hinduism Dictionary on Anava mala
anava mala: (Sanskrit) "Impurity of smallness; finitizing principle." The individualizing veil of duality that enshrouds the soul. It is the source of finitude and ignorance, the most basic of the three bonds (anava, karma, maya) which temporarily limit the soul. Anava mala has the same importance in Agamic philosophy that maya-avidya has in Vedantic philosophy. The presence of anava mala is what causes the misapprehension about the nature of God, soul and world, the notion of being separate and distinct from God and the universe. Anava obscures the natural wisdom, light, unity and humility of the soul and allows spiritual ignorance, darkness, egoity and pride to manifest. It is inherent in a maturing soul, like the shell of a seed. When anava is ripe, anugraha, "grace," comes, and anava falls away. Anava is the root mala and the last bond to be dissolved. See: evolution of the soul, grace, mala, soul.

Dictionary - Brown
Dream
Interpretation Brown
Brown has always been the colour of earth. This colour is very warm, calm, and motherly feminine. Being dressed in a brown gown in a dream means the dreamer has chosen a natural lifestyle or would like to live that way. Brown is a mixture of orange and black. It symbolizes a connection to the earth, nature, humility, earth, and emotional stamina. It is passive, but persistent.

- Donkey
Donkey Dreaming about this interesting and amusing animal may have several different and opposing interpretations. Therefore, it is very important that you pay attention to the details and the emotional tone of the dream. A donkey may represent humility, honor, and "royalty" in disguise. On the opposite end of things, it may symbolize stubbornness and an unyielding personality. Also, it may represent a person who has many burdens and carries a "heavy load." Either way, the individual symbolized by the donkey has redeeming qualities which include ruggedness, endurance, and loyalty. (But don't get them angry because they just may kick you with their hind legs-- just kidding!)

Christian Theological Dictionary on Pelagianism
A
Christian theological definition of Pelagianism according to CARM - The Christian
Apologetics & Research Ministry:
" Pelagianism The teaching of a monk named Pelagius in the fifth Century. He taught that man's will was and still is free to choose good or evil and there is no inherited sin (through Adam). Every infant born into the world is in the same condition as Adam before the fall and becomes a sinner because he sins. This is opposed to the Biblical teaching that we are by nature children of wrath (Eph. 2:3) and that we sin because we are sinners. Pelagius said we are able to keep the commandments of God because God has given us the ability. Therefore, there is no need of redemption and the crucifixion of Jesus is merely a supreme example of love, humility, obedience, and sacrifice. This heresy has its relatives in the form of the cults that deny the total dependence upon God and maintain that salvation is obtainable through our own efforts. (Compare to Arminianism and Calvinism.) "

- Oyster
Oyster An oyster in your dream may have sexual connotations. It usually represents the female sex organ or, if eaten by a man, may represent his ability or desire to perform well sexually. Oysters are also considered symbols of humility and wisdom. Their meaning is associated with that of pearls. The most negative interpretation is that the oyster represents a well guarded individual; a person who has shut himself off from others. Attempt to connect some of these ideas to your emotional life and overall experiences and keep in mind the setting, context and outcome of the dream.

Hinduism Dictionary on Prapatti
prapatti: (Sanskrit) "Throwing oneself down." Bhakti - total, unconditional submission to God, often coupled with the attitude of personal helplessness, self-effacement and resignation. A term especially used in Vaishnavism to name a concept extremely central to virtually all Hindu schools. In Saiva Siddhanta, bhakti is all important in the development of the soul and its release into spiritual maturity. The doctrine is perhaps best expressed in the teachings of the four Samayacharya saints, who all shared a profound and mystical love of Siva marked by 1) deep humility and self-effacement, admission of sin and weakness; 2) total surrender in God as the only true refuge and 3) a relationship of lover and beloved known as bridal mysticism, in which the devotee is the bride and Siva the bridegroom. The practice of yoga, too, is an expression of love of God in Saiva Siddhanta, and it is only with God's grace that success is achieved. Rishi Tirumular states: "Unless your heart melts in the sweet ecstasy of love - my Lord, my treasure-trove, you can never possess" (Tirumantiram 272). It is in this concept of the need for self-effacement and total surrender, prapatti, that the members of all sects merge in oneness, at the fulfillment of their individual paths. Similarly, they all meet in unity at the beginning of the path with the worship of Lord Ganesha. See: bhakti, grace, pada, surrender.

ZPG
ZPG "Zero Population Growth" is an idea whose time has come. What has that to do with M/magic(k)? Nothing more than that any practitioner who ignores the state of the world and attempts to avoid controversy out of cowardice, is a charlatan and an ass. The population of the earth will have reached 10 billion within another decade. The beautiful forests and magnificent animals that our grandparents knew are gone forever. Human life grows cheaper with each mewling, puking infant that is born. Anti-abortionists and anti- homosexuals are doing the world a monstrous disservice by pushing their arrogant self-interest propaganda. Those who think that restricting birth is "inhuman" or draconian should be warned that ZPG and family Planning are conservative organizations by any standard. There are far more radical forces on the hell-horizon, growing rapidly in imminence every day: Radical Population Reduction ("Reaper," for short), to mention one on the edge of appearance. To those who point out that had my mother felt as I do, I'd not have been born I'm bound to say that when I was born there were not yet quite two billion human souls on this planet and the dead still outnumbered the living. Moreover, my genetic material ends with me. I have always practiced that essentially ontological humility which is preached in Isaiah 54: "Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear..." If I have not the pride to perpetuate my own flesh, why should I condone the arrogance of others? As for those, finally, who believe that natural patenting should be the divine right of every moronic pimp and cheap tart, rather than an earned and rare privilege, and who argue that anyone who tries to "play God" and set hirself up as a population damper can only be a "Fascist," such fools should be reminded that it hardly matters whether a Fascist, a Saint, a Yuppie or Zippy the Pinhead takes the job at this late date. If everyone's genes are to be sacrificed to the common good and if the said "God-Player" is himself free of issue, it matters little who rules. In any case, any form of birth control, no matter how unjust or extreme, is preferable to that tyranny exercised so criminally now by those who, in their filth, stupidity, rut and obnoxious lust, blindly and selfishly birth endlessly forth their disgusting progeny in chaotic, cancerous growth, shoving and forcing the guilty in with the innocent in this already over-stuffed planetary ratbox of accelerating madness and asphyxiation.
