Hamingja (Icelandic) Also fylgja. Luck, lot, or fortune in the Norse Edda; a human being's guardian angel, the spiritual soul who guides his destiny. She is descended from the norns, who are the hamingjas of the world. To bestow one's hamingja on another is to give a blessing.
