HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL: Mysticism Magick Dictionary on HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL

HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL

When magi speak of "the knowledge and conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel," they refer to that particular manifestation of spirit which is their own experience. The principle is the same, whether it is the great Aumakua of the Hawaiian Hunas or the visitation of the Archangel Gabriel for someone in our culture. The purpose of M/magic(k) is not worship, but transformation. And the purpose in evoking the Holy Guardian Angel is to obtain information that is essential to the work of transformation. HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL: Encyclopedia II - Holy Guardian Angel - Variations in Crowley's view of the HGA
Crowley only espouses a view that the HGA is the 'silent self' in his early life. In his seventies, when composing Magick without Tears, he presents a completely different and diametrically opposed view. According to this definition, the HGA is not one's 'self', but an independent and discrete being, who may have been a human like oneself at one stage: "Now, on the other hand, there is an entirely different type of angel; and here we must be especially careful to remember that we include gods and devils, for there are such beings who ...

HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL: Encyclopedia II - Holy Guardian Angel - Methods of Achieving K&C

Crowley said that the Abramelin procedure was not the only way to achieve success in this endeavour: It is impossible to lay down precise rules by which a man may attain to the knowledge and conversation of His Holy Guardian Angel; for that is the particular secret of each one of us; as secret not to be told or even divined by any other, whatever his grade. It is the Holy of Holies, whereof each man is his own High Priest, and none knoweth the Name of his brother's God, or ...

The Book of the Law, also known as Liber AL vel Legis, is the text central to philosophical / magical / religious practice called Thelema founded by Aleister Crowley. Crowley penned the book in three sessions between 12 noon and 1 pm on April 8, 9 and 10, 1904 in Cairo, resulting in three distinct chapters. He reports writing the book by dictation from a voice that seemed to come from over his shoulder and called itself Aiwass (or Aiwaz). HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL: Encyclopedia - Hamingja

The Hamingja was a kind of female guardian angel in Scandinavian mythology. It was believed to accompany a person and to decide his luck and happiness. HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL: Encyclopedia - Samael

Samael is an important figure in Talmudic and post-Talmudic lore, a figure who is accuser, seducer, and destroyer. Legends mentioning Satan refer equally to him, such that Samael is often taken to be the true or angelic name of the Devil, as opposed to the epithet, Lucifer (light-bearer), which is based on a misapprehension of a verse against the King of Babylon, or his functional title, Satan (Adversary). However, Samael cannot always be simply identified with Satan, because some translations of the Book of Enoch ...

HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL: Encyclopedia - Bahá'í divisions

The Bahá'í Faith has had challenges to leadership at the death of every head of the religion.
