Hells: Encyclopedia II - Oh Hell - 500 Version - Rules

The game is played using a 53-card deck (regular amount of cards plus a Joker). The determination of rank of the cards have been borrowed from 500 and is as follows from highest to lowest: Joker, Right Bauer (Jack of trump suit), Left Bauer (Jack of same coloured suit), then Ace, King, Queen, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. On each succeeding deal one more card is dealt out, until all the cards are dealt on the thirteenth hand. After this, a hand of thirteen is dealth again acknowledging the begging of 'going down the ...

Hells: Encyclopedia II - Monty Hell problem - Attacks on the second solution

Because the second solution is so disturbing, many people attempt to resolve the paradox by finding an error in it. This section will describe some of these approaches, and explain why they are not supported by modern-day set theory and probability theory. Monty Hell problem - Everybody dies but that doesn't mean someday no one will be alive. Consider the following variant of the "Monty" process, which eliminates the probabilities: on day 1, element 1 is placed in the sack. On day 2, element 2 is placed in ...

Hells: Encyclopedia II - Fraser Canyon - Hell's Gate

At Hell's Gate, near Boston Bar, the canyon walls rise about 1000 m above the rapids. Fish ladders along the river's side permit migrating salmon to bypass a rockslide that diverted the river during the blasting of the CNR line in 1905. The area around Hell's Gate carries the name Black Canyon, which may either be a reference to the colour of the rocks when they're in the rain, or the name of a community built on the cliffsides here during the Fraser Canyon Gold Rush. Today there is a specially-built air-tram, like the kind used in ski resor ...

Hells: Encyclopedia II - Doom enemies - Hell Knight

In Doom II, Hell Knights are almost identical in appearance to Barons of Hell. The main difference is their lighter colouration, their sounds and their lower hitpoints and attack damage. They were primarily created to add more balance to Doom II, after complaints that the Barons of Hell were too tough, and were essentially 'meat shields'. With their lowered deadliness and toughness, t ...

Hells: Encyclopedia II - Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell

Meat Loaf and Steinman started Bat Out of Hell in 1972, but didn't really get serious about it until the end of 1974. Meat Loaf decided that he wasn't going to do any more theater and concentrate only on the record. Then, the National Lampoon Show opened on Broadway and they needed an understudy for John Belushi, a close friend of Meat Loaf. He and Belushi had become friends in 1972 when they were doing Lemmings at the Village Gate. It was at the Lampoon Show that Meat Loaf met Ellen Foley who would end up singing "Paradise By the Dashboard Light" ...

Hells: Encyclopedia II - Doom enemies - Baron of Hell

Barons of Hell resemble minotaurs, with pink torsos and brown legs. An alternative view is that they resemble the classical 'goat-legged' depiction of Satan. They attack the player by scratching with their claws when close or throwing green balls of energy at a distance. A pair of Barons, referred to internally by id Software as the "Bruiser Brothers" (a reference to the Hammer Brothers from the Mario series), star as the bosses at the end of Knee-Deep in the Dead, the first episode of Doom. Barons also appear as regular enemies in the ...

Hells: Encyclopedia II - Meat Loaf - Life after Bat Out of Hell

In 1980, Meat Loaf got back in the studio and started working on Dead Ringer. Steinman wrote all of the songs, but had nothing else to do with the album. At the time his agent, David Sonenberg, brought in Al Dellentash to help manage Meat Loaf's career. The tour they planned to support the album was cancelled after one show because they ran out of the money that the studio advanced them. Sonenberg and Dellentash also convinced Sony Records and CBS to advance more money for the making of Dead Ringer the movie. Dellentash and Son ...

Hells: Encyclopedia II - Judaism and Christianity - Heaven and Hell

Judaism is largely unconcerned with the problem of death or an afterlife; the Biblical book of Ecclesiastes states that death is final; the place of the dead is called sheol, which means "the grave." Aside from the ghostly apparition of Samuel, called up by a witch at King Saul's command, the Hebrew Bible does not mention an afterlife. According to critical scholars, Biblical Jews first believed that God always punished evil, but always during a person's life — or, if the person is repentant, in the life of one of that persons' desc ...

Hells: Encyclopedia II - Monty Hell problem - Appendix: Proof that each bill leaves the sack with probability 1

Here is a proof that the probability that a bill stays in the sack forever is zero. Let w be the number of bills added each day, and consider some bill that is added on day t0, where the first day is day 1. The probability that it remains in the bag on day n, given that it is present at the end of day n − 1, is so the prob ...

Hells: Encyclopedia II - Hellraiser - Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth 1992

Directed by Anthony Hickox. Hell is about to be unleashed again. After the confrontation in Hellbound, the Cenobite Pinhead is trapped, along with the puzzle box, amongst the writhing figures and distorted faces etched into the surface of an intricately carved pillar. The pillar is bought by the rich and spoiled J.P. Monroe (Kevin Bernhardt), owner of a famous club called The Boiler Room. An ambitious young television reporter, Joey Summerskill (Terry Farrell), slowly begins to learn about Pinhead and the mysterio ...

Dream Interpretation Hell

Hell is a symbol of darkness and represents your fears, anxieties, feelings of guilt and other negative energies, but also it is a place of purification and promises serenity in the end. A dream of hell is a sign of great distress, loss of hopes and frustration. It could reflect your current life situation where you have little to hope for and don't know where your life is going. More likely that after this dream your painful situation might still continue until through purification you will find the right path.
