HANDS ON HEALING

Is probably one of the oldest forms of healing methods, as it results from the natural tendency to touch someone in pain or sickness. We may understand its efficacy being derived from the innate ability for anyone to act as a “bridge” for healing energy from universal source to reach the afflicted person. In reality there are no external healers, as we all apply various modalities to enable the injured or afflicted to heal themselves. Touch is nurturing, and which is a powerful means for the recipient to receive universal love sufficiently for them to heal. The Healing Touch assists to balance the energies, including the Chakras. Therapeutic Massage/Touch  - A healing technique that combines traditional laying of the hands with certain Eastern theories of energy flow. It is based on the concept of unblocking "fields of energy" in the body to relieve pain and disease (backache, tension, headache).

A new piercing will be sore, tender or red for several days up to three weeks. Complete healing normally takes several weeks or more. Below are more specific healing time estimates. holistic nursing (wholistic nursing): Form of nursing that exalts intuition and may include AMMA Therapy, biofeedback, guided imagery, Healing Touch, homeopathy, iridology, massage therapy, Oriental medicine (especially acupuncture), psychic healing, tai chi, and/or Therapeutic Touch. Its goal is integration of body, mind, and spirit.

Reiki

is a healing approach that uses light touch from the practitioner to channel healing energy to the recipient. Used to relieve physical and emotional pain and to promote spiritual clarity, Reiki also speeds the healing process and balances the body's energy.

Energy: Pranic Healing

Prana (pronounced PRAH-nah) is a Sanskrit word meaning "life-force," the invisible bio-energy or vital energy that keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health.

As an art and science, Pranic Healing was widely practiced in the ancient civilizations of China, Egypt and India. One of today’s methods of Pranic Healing was founded by Mr. Choa Kok Sui, a chemical engineer, philanthropist and businessman. He compiled more than twenty years of research and experimentation on the wise use of subtle healing into over five books on Pranic Healing, which are translated into 24 languages. 

Pranic Healing is based on the theory that every person is surrounded and interpenetrated by a luminous energy body, called the bioplasmic body. The word bioplasmic comes from “bio” (life) and “plasma” (ionized gas with positive and negative charged particles). This is called the “energy body” and has been rediscovered with Kirlian photography. It is through the energy body that prana, or life energy, is absorbed and redistributed throughout the body.

In Pranic Healing, the therapists use crystals or their hands (in a "no touch" method) with specified methods for specific ailments to remove negative or disease energy from the patient's energy body and then transfer fresh prana to the affected areas to accomplish healing. Pranic Healing is based on the principle that the body has the ability to heal itself. To make this happen, it utilizes the life force as fuel to initiate the necessary biochemical changes. Pranic Healing has been found to prevent and heal a whole spectrum of physical, emotional and mental ailments.

REFLECTIVE HEALING

Reflective healing is a form of energy healing in which the therapist uses a combination of guided imagery and energy body manipulations to heal a specific physical organ or joint.

Noninvasive physical touch of energy centers is important in this process of repatterning the etheric body. Extensive intuitive development and energetic training are required by the therapist.

laying on of hands (contact healing): Healing by touching a person with the hands or palms.

According to its theory, a healthy person has vital energy to spare, which is transmittable into sick persons. Contact healing is at least 15,000 years old. Usually, the healer places his hands, palms down, on the top of the subject's head or on the subject's shoulders or waist.

Some proponents of alternative medicine use the expressions laying on of hands and touch therapy interchangeably. The former expression may also refer specifically to the act of laying hands on a person's head to confer a spiritual blessing, as in Christian rites of confirmation and ordination.

THERAPEUTIC TOUCH: The underlying premise of therapeutic touch is that healing is promoted when the energy (vital life force) enveloping the body is in balance. The disease process is thought to be manifested when this energy is in a state of imbalance. By passing his hands lightly over the person's body, the healer can feel any energy imbalances. These usually show up as one of several sensations: heat, cold, tingling, pulsation, electric shock, or tightness.

Qigong therapy (buqi, buqi therapy, external qigong, external Qigong healing, External Qi Healing, medical Qigong, Qi An Mo, Qigong healing, Qi healing, Qi Massage, wai Qi liao fa, Wai Qi Zhi Liao):

1. medical application of short-distance psychokinesis. Qigong therapy is comparable to Non-Contact Therapeutic Touch. At most, it includes light touching.

Its theory posits healing Qi and diseased Qi. (Buqi means spreading the Qi. Wai Qi means external Qi and refers toa shield of chi at the surface of the body. Wai Qi liao fa means curing with external Qi.)

2. Subject of Qigong Therapy and How to Use It (East & West Publications, Ltd.), by Linhai; a combination of acupointing, chiropractics, massage, physical therapy, Tuina, and qi transmission.

INTEGRATED KABBALISTIC HEALING

Integrated Kabbalistic Healing is a system of energy healing, developed by Jason Shulman, based on the traditional Judaic metaphysical path (Kabbalah), object-relations, and advaitic (non-dualistic) perspectives with the understandings of psychology and the power of healing touch.

A session is approximately one hour in length and consists of discussion, followed by a hands-on healing based on what has been discussed. The goal is personal transformation by changing the fundamental patterns that are keeping the client from living the life she wants, ultimately affecting change on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

Vibrational medicine embraces acupuncture, aromatherapy, Bach flower therapy, chakra rebalancing, channeling, color therapy, crystal healing, absent healing, electroacupuncture, flower essence therapy, homeopathy, Kirlian photography, laserpuncture, the laying on of hands, meridian therapy, mesmerism, moxibustion, Past-life Regression, Polarity Therapy, psychic healing, psychic surgery, Reiki, sonopuncture, Toning, Transcendental Meditation, and Therapeutic Touch.
