The original version of the Guide was written in Arabic. The first Hebrew translation was written by a contemporary of Maimonides, Samuel ben Judah ibn Tibbon (south France). This Hebrew edition has been used for many centuries. The first complete English translation was "The Guide for the Perplexed", by M. Friedlander, with Mr. Joseph Abrahams and Reverevd H.
