Yourself With Emotional FreedomCan we choose to be joyful, free of fear
and worry? Can we remain unaffected by circumstances? And what about letting go
of deeply inflicted hurt and pain? Would that not mean cheaply letting off the
hook someone who deserves to be punished? Can we choose our emotional states?
Emotional Freedom
Techniques (EFT), a radical and quick-acting proclaims that Òall negative
emotions are caused by a disruption in the bodyÕs energy systemÓ. If this
disruption is removed, the physical or emotional pain magically disappears.

| | | | Grief Dictionary: Activate the Cycle Of Good Karma
"Why are we here?" asked a boy of his mother. "Why, to help others, of course," she replied. "And what are the others here for?" asked the boy. The mother had no answer. The others, especially the needy, are there so that we can extend to them a helping hand. One day, as William Gladstone was preparing a speech he was to deliver in parliament, he was called to visit a dying boy. When he returned to the writing of his speech, he said: "That speech may fail or not; but in helping that boy I have tasted exquisite joy."

| | | | Grief Dictionary: Celestial Marriage of Shiva and Shakti
There is an interesting legend connected with Mahashivratri, the day Shiva got married a second time to Shakti, his divine consort. Once Shiva and Sati or Shakti were returning from the ashram of sage Agastya, after listening to Ram Katha or the story of Ram. On the way when Shiva saw Rama roaming the forest - in search of Sita who was kidnapped by Ravana - he bowed his head in reverence. A surprised Sati inquired of Shiva why he was paying obeisance to a mere mortal.

Effect of Thought on Health and the BodyDisease
and health, like circumstances, are rooted in thought. Sickly thoughts will
express themselves through a sickly body. Thoughts of fear have been known to
kill a man as speedily as a bullet, and they are continually killing thousands
of people just as surely though less rapidly. The people who live in fear of
disease are the people who get it. Anxiety quickly demoralizes the whole body,
and lays it open to the entrance of disease, while impure thoughts, even if not
physically indulged, will soon shatter the nervous system.

| | | | | Grief Dictionary: Dance with your pain
Why is it so difficult for us to release the pain of yesterday and move forward with our lives? It's not as though we enjoy being stuck in painful memories.Rather, the longer we remain stuck in them, the more deeply they wound us. Someone very close to me refuses to let go of the pain her ex-husband inflicted on her years ago. I admit it was a horrible time for her, and left very deep wounds. It is understandable that she would have trouble letting go of these memories, as they are a part of her. Yet, they are not just a part of her, they are the biggest part of her. Why? Because she chooses to make them so.

| | | | Grief Dictionary: INDIGO CHILDREN, ADD, AUTISM AND ASCENSION
Dear Beloved Ascending Human, Earth has completed in this year of 2003 with a focus upon karma associated with slavery, subordination, insanity, and deformity. The purpose of this focus was to release all global karma and thought-form associated so that a new dream of biological unity could be anchored. The male and female energies upon earth were united into the flame of Divine Union within the heart chakra of earth as the karma was released in full. The flame of Divine Union has been ignited and shines brightly in the aurora of earth! In so doing, there is a greater state of soul infusion and direction on the part of the Great Central Sun for earth as a global consciousness and vessel.

| | | | | Grief Dictionary: What Is God's Real Form?What Is God's Real Form?
Does God have a form or is He
formless? Adi Sankara preferred a formless God while Ramanujacharya believed
that He was both with and without form.
Ramana Maharshi realised the Inner Divine Self by
enquiring, ''Who am I?'' Vivekananda was not for dualism, of seeing God in an
image. But when Ramakrishna Paramhansa touched his chest to indicate the
divinity within, Vivekananda began to 'see' God in every thing - living or
non-living.

| | | | Grief Dictionary: The Doctrine Of ReincarnationThe doctrine of
reincarnation or transmigration of souls is a fundamental tenet of Hinduism.
The word reincarnation literally
means embodiment again, coming again into a physical body. The individual soul
takes again a fleshy covering. The word transmigration means passing from one place to another -
passing into a new body.

All About Hinduism by Sri Swami Sivananda

| | | | Grief Dictionary: Feng Shui and the New Children
How does the ancient science and art of feng shui relate to the New Children? Due to their sensitivities, the New Children have often been likened to canaries being sent into the coal mine. Feng shui can be used to transform the coal mine - to create more harmony and balance in our physical spaces and surroundings. Since our homes and physical surroundings are comprised of endlessly transforming and interconnected energy fields, we must develop a conscious relationship with the vast dynamics contributing to these energy fields. | | | | Grief Dictionary: Meditation on Impermanence
Everything in the universe is impermanent. Like the waves in the sea that ascend and descend, so to creation is made up of electromagnetic and subtler forces that are seemingly being created and then dissipating. The manifest existence as we know it, finds one level of its source in the molecular structure nourished by God's love where change is not so clearly obvious. However, on the more perceptible plane, humans change, our thoughts change, our desires change, seasons change, our relationships change, as also do the forms of inanimate objects: vehicles that break down, walls that crack, stones that break; not to mention the shapes of the clouds in the sky and the positions of the planets and the stars.

| | | | Grief Dictionary: Our Ishta Devata Lives Within Us
Whenever I come across news of violence, be it between individuals, mob factions or between countries, a nightmare usually envelops me, of a return to the days of the caveman. But scenes of the incineration of innocents at Godhra and the retaliatory mass live-burning of hundreds in other parts of Gujarat brought back poignant memories of the Partition massacres. In extenuation, apologists among us could seek to ascribe the latter at least partially to the departing Brits but who do we blame for our own Millennium Abel and Cain act this past week? Only ourselves: In a land which boasts of its sanskriti, sabhyata, and itihaas - noble words uttered from political pulpits especially at election times, what surfaced in the past week is bestiality at its best (worst?).

| | | | Grief Dictionary: Impertinent Query, Profound Answer
" That is the essence of science: Ask an impertinent question and you are on the way to the pertinent answe r", wrote Dr J Bronowski in Ascent of Man. This statement is probably equally - or perhaps more - valid in our spiritual quests. The Kathopanishad starts with Nachiketa posing a question to his father Vajasravasa, who was giving away gifts after a Yagna .

| | | | Grief Dictionary: Who Am I?This is a world of diversity. Intellects
are different. Faces are different. Religions are different. Sounds are
different. Faiths are different. Colours are different. Faculties are
different. Tastes and temperaments are different. But one thing is common in
all. Everyone of us wants Nitya Sukha (eternal happiness), infinite knowledge,
immortality, freedom and independence. These things can be obtained by
knowledge of the Self alone.

Yoga" by Sri Swami Sivananda.

"Menin aeide thea, Peleiadeo Akhileos

Sing, Muse, the wrath of Achilles the son of Peleus,
the destructive wrath, that brought a thousand griefs upon the Achaeans,"
In these lines, we see the name Akhilleus Peleides, which is a praenomen and a patronymic, the latter being formed from Peleus with the suffix -ides producing Achilles the son of Peleus. The sy ...

| | | | Grief Dictionary: Encyclopedia II - Eschatology - HinduismHindu traditional prophecies, as described in the Puranas and several other texts, say that the world shall fall into chaos and degradation. There will then be a rapid influx of perversity, greed and conflict, and this state has been described as:
"When deceit falsehood, lethargy, sleepiness, violence, despondency, grief, delusion, fear, and poverty prevail ... when men, filled with conceit, consider themselves equal with the Brahmins...that is the Kali Yuga."
This is followed by the appearance of an avatar, "The Lord sh ...

| | | | Grief Dictionary: Encyclopedia II - The Lovely Bones - OriginsDuring her freshman year at Syracuse University, Sebold was raped. In Lucky, her 1997 memoir of that event and its aftermath, she describes how a police officer told her the rapist's previous victim had died. She also saw the rapist on the street later and reported him to the police. Eventually she testified against him at trial, and he was convicted and received the maximum sentence.
She began the novel in the early 1990s as an outgrowth of those events. However, she fiercely resists any suggestion that it had anything to do w ...
