God Consciousness: Parapsychology Dictionary on Visarga

Visarga:

The visarga is viewed as a rhythmic contraction and expansion. The expansive movement results in the manifestation of the universe; the contractive movement results in a return to the origin, God. When the yogi connects with this contractive motion, he is effortlessly propelled to the original, unbounded consciousness of God. It is this contraction and expansion that produces the vibration known as the spanda.

God Consciousness: Hindu - Hinduism Dictionary on Superconscious mind

superconscious mind: Karana chitta.

 

The mind of light, the all-knowing intelligence of the soul. The psychological term is turiya, "the fourth," meaning the condition beyond the states of wakefulness (jagrat), "dream" (svapna), and "deep sleep" (sushupti). At its deepest level, the superconscious is Parashakti, or Satchidananda, the Divine Mind of God Siva. In Sanskrit, there are numerous terms for the various levels and states of superconsciousness. Specific superconscious states such as: vishvachaitanya ("universal consciousness"), advaita chaitanya ("nondual consciousness"), adhyatma chetana ("spiritual consciousness").

Hansa: Literally "swan," for the swan can separate milk from water, and the realized soul can perceive the Real behind the unreal and separate the consciousness of spirit from consciousness of matter. Hansa also means "I am [aham] He [sa]" in the sense of conscious identity with God.

God Consciousness: Hindu - Hinduism Dictionary on Pranava

Pranava: (Sanskrit) "Humming."

 

The mantra Aum, denoting God as the Primal Sound. It can be heard as the sound of one's own nerve system, like the sound of an electrical transformer or a swarm of bees. The meditator is taught to inwardly transform this sound into the inner light which lights the thoughts, and bask in this blissful consciousness. Pranava is also known as the sound of the nadanadi shakti.
