Mukulita-cetana - budding consciousness. This refers to human beings whose consciousness is superior to that of lower life-forms, but who are devoid of morality and ethics. It also refers to those who have a conventional sense of morality, but who have no faith in God.

Religious chant or mantra repeated over and over to draw practitioners into an ever closer state of God-consciousness.

During this state the mystic loses consciousness of his or her surroundings, and is absorbed in concentration on the non-differentiated aspect of God.

A higher state of consciousness in which the person seems to transcend his or her ego, and becomes aware of his/her divinity, and that he/she is one with God

Atman

The eternal or real self, sometimes referring to the principle of life in all things. The pure consciousness of the spirit which is a spark of God. The real "I".

Actualism

A New Age teaching similar to panentheism, according to which all human beings possess the divine Christ-consciousness and are united with the Mother-Father-Creator God.

8. one of 89 mental states in Buddhism including the trances of the realm of the infinity of space, the infinity of consciousness, state of awareness, described in the Upanishads. Visarga:

The visarga is viewed as a rhythmic contraction and expansion. The expansive movement results in the manifestation of the universe; the contractive movement results in a return to the origin, God. When the yogi connects with this contractive motion, he is effortlessly propelled to the original, unbounded consciousness of God. It is this contraction and expansion that produces the vibration known as the spanda.

mahavakya: (Sanskrit) "Great saying."

A profound aphorism from scripture or a holy person. Most famous are four Upanishadic proclamations: Prajanam Brahma ("Pure consciousness is God" - Aitareya U.), Aham Brahmasmi ("I am God" - Brihadaranyaka U.), Tat tvam asi ("Thou art That" - ‚handogya U.) and Ayam atma Brahma ("The soul is God" - Mandukya U.).

Being: When capitalized being refers to God's essential divine nature- Pure Consciousness, Absolute Reality and Primal Soul (God's nature as a divine Person). Lower case being refers to the essential nature of a person, that within which never changes; existence. See: Siva.

pluralism (pluralistic): Doctrine that holds existence to be composed of three or more distinct and irreducible components, such as God, souls and world.

pluralistic realism: A term for pluralism used by various schools including Meykandar Saiva Siddhanta, emphasizing that the components of existence are absolutely real in themselves and not creations of consciousness or God.

superconscious mind: Karana chitta.

The mind of light, the all-knowing intelligence of the soul. The psychological term is turiya, "the fourth," meaning the condition beyond the states of wakefulness (jagrat), "dream" (svapna), and "deep sleep" (sushupti). At its deepest level, the superconscious is Parashakti, or Satchidananda, the Divine Mind of God Siva. In Sanskrit, there are numerous terms for the various levels and states of superconsciousness. Specific superconscious states such as: vishvachaitanya ("universal consciousness"), advaita chaitanya ("nondual consciousness"), adhyatma chetana ("spiritual consciousness").

Surya (Sanskrit). The Sun, worshipped in the Vedas. The offspring of Aditi (Space), the mother of the gods. The husband of Sanjna, or spiritual consciousness. The great god whom Visvakarman, his father-in-law, the creator of the gods and men, and their "carpenter", crucifies on a lathe, and cutting off the eighth part of his rays, deprives his head of its effulgency, creating round it a dark aureole. A mystery of the last initiation, and an allegorical representation of it.

Hansa: Literally "swan," for the swan can separate milk from water, and the realized soul can perceive the Real behind the unreal and separate the consciousness of spirit from consciousness of matter. Hansa also means "I am [aham] He [sa]" in the sense of conscious identity with God.

Pranava: (Sanskrit) "Humming."

The mantra Aum, denoting God as the Primal Sound. It can be heard as the sound of one's own nerve system, like the sound of an electrical transformer or a swarm of bees. The meditator is taught to inwardly transform this sound into the inner light which lights the thoughts, and bask in this blissful consciousness. Pranava is also known as the sound of the nadanadi shakti.

AS IF

In Eckankar, chelas are taught that the senses contain all manifestation. Imagination, in the field of Maya, if exercised properly will create an effect by the chela "as if" it has already happened. We have only to recognize that we have already reached "God-consciousness".
