A
Christian Theological Dictionary on Pelagianism
A
Christian theological definition of Pelagianism according to CARM - The Christian
Apologetics & Research Ministry:
" Pelagianism The teaching of a monk named Pelagius in the fifth Century. He taught that man's will was and still is free to choose good or evil and there is no inherited sin (through Adam). Every infant born into the world is in the same condition as Adam before the fall and becomes a sinner because he sins. This is opposed to the Biblical teaching that we are by nature children of wrath (Eph. 2:3) and that we sin because we are sinners. Pelagius said we are able to keep the commandments of God because God has given us the ability. Therefore, there is no need of redemption and the crucifixion of Jesus is merely a supreme example of love, humility, obedience, and sacrifice. This heresy has its relatives in the form of the cults that deny the total dependence upon God and maintain that salvation is obtainable through our own efforts. (Compare to Arminianism and Calvinism.) "

Alternative
Health Dictionary on Johrei
Johrei: purificatory method that defines the Johrei Fellowship, a worldwide interfaith association with a center in New York City. Reportedly, sessions take about twenty minutes, do not entail physical contact, and are always free of charge. Besides the method, the word Johrei denotes a paradisiacal doctrine anda something that, through the focusing of Divine Light, naturally eases physical and mental distress. Japanese businessman Mokichi Okada founded the movement in 1935. Okada had learned God's Divine Plan for the New Age through a series of divine revelations. Johrei's principles include the Law of Purification, which holds that sickness is simply Nature's way of restoring health, and the Law of Spiritual Affinity, which holds that innumerable spiritual cords dominate human existence. Another principle is that one's health and material resources are functions of one's spiritual condition.

Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage: While the healing power of touch is an ancient concept, this technique is named after Swedish massage pioneer, Peter Ling (1776-1839). This technique emphasizes that all strokes go toward the heart. Swedish massage uses five main strokes to stimulate the circulation of the blood through the soft tissue of the body. Theory Swedish Massage By stroking and kneading the body, metabolic processes and blood circulation are stimulated. Basic Swedish massage is a relaxing massage that relieves stress, improves sleep, and enhances circulation by improving muscle tone and flexibility. Techniques of Swedish Massage Effeurage or Stroking Stroking with a light pressure is repeated rhythmically. Fresh blood flows to the tissues, nourishing them with increased oxygen and other nutrients. Petrissage or Kneading Picking up the muscles by squeezing and pressing. Petrissage helps reduce edema and decongests muscles by encouraging the expulsion of fluids from the muscle. Friction or Rubbing Circular or transverse strokes. Friction massage helps free muscles from scar tissue formed after an injury. It also helps loosen joints and tendons. Tapotement or Percussion Performed by cupping or clapping. It can be light or deep. Range of Motion Mobilizes joints. Parts of the body are rotated, flexed, and extended.

Hindu -
Hinduism Dictionary on Nunk
nunk: A contemporary word coined by Catholic theologian Raimundo Panikkar to describe women contemplatives or female monks, in contrast to the word nun which commonly describes a religious teacher or service-oriented woman under vows. A nunk is a celibate woman following strict, perhaps austere and usually solitary, spiritual disciplines and lifestyle. By balancing the masculine and feminine energies within herself through sadhana and yoga, she is a complete being, detached from the thoughts and feelings of others, free to follow the contemplative and mystical life in pursuit of the Self within. To accomplish this, she works to permanently conquer her feminine instincts and the emotional tendencies of a woman's body. She strives to transmute her sexuality into the Divine, giving up her womanliness so thoroughly that she is indistinguishable from a monk. In Hinduism, nunks may be sannyasinis, yoginis or sadhikas. See: monastic, sannyasin, monk.

COSH
COSH An acronym for "Church of Secular Humanism," Xtians refer to Secular Humanism as a religion. COSH is the hyperbolic, cosine-haversine function of celestial navigation and engendered by transcendental numbers e and pi, which in turn derive from Gaussian complex numbers involving i, the irrational square root of minus 1 (that is to the power of pi to the power of i = 1 or {[(e to the power of x) - (e to the power of -x)] divided by 2}. This is fitting enough, since calling secular humanism a church is also hyperbolic, deriving from transcendental irrationality. Since Gauss's parents were "liberated from the shackles" of the Xtian religion it gives the ultimate origin of COSH an infinite lineage. Since the fundamentalists have themselves conferred religious status upon Secular Humanism, it is the opinion of COSH's founder, Gerald Baker (1984 Iowan candidate for the Big Deal Party), that it ought to be given tax-free status so as to empower it to solicit funds for the purposes of widespread evangelism.

House An old house signifies a reunion or renewal of an old association. A new house predicts financial security. Building a house or seeing one under construction forecasts unexpected gain, possibly through a legacy; buying a house indicates a short but exciting love affair; selling a house augurs a release from pressing responsibilities. Body Energy
The
energy of your body will not be balanced and free flowing if you do not have
good emotional balance, good physical health, and good relationships with your
surroundings and yourself.
Almost
no one is ever perfectly balanced. If you could do this, you would be able to
rise from the dead, have a body transformed into a cosmic molecular structure
and commune with the gods as an equal.

Celtic
Marriage
This
article is not just for those interested in the traditions of Celtic Marriage,
it is also a look into the complex body of law that governed the ancient Celts.
For
the ancient Celts, marriage was a very different thing than what we conceive of
as "marriage" today. For them, marriage or handfasting as some know
it was a form of contract that had several purposes. These included the
protection of property rights, the care of progeny (children), and the rights
of the individuals involved in the relationships themselves.

| | | | Free Yoga Articles Dictionary: Road to Freedom is Less Travelled
Freedom is understood as the absence of physical and mental boundaries or restrictions. Physical freedom is when you enjoy freedom of movement. Mental freedom is when you are free to choose and make your own decisions. Both of the above freedoms are external. True freedom, however, is internal. In the external freedom, although we seem to make our own choices, in reality, the decision-making apparatus, the mind, has itself been formed through many layers of societal influences in the form of ego.
