Avatar and profile picture Avatar and profile picture
It so much nicer whith profiles having uploaded an avatar and profil picture! So please do that asap! Please go here: Edit Avatar and upload a picture; either of yourself or a symbolic picture if you don’t want to show your face. It would be nice with real pictures but it’s absolutely OK if you prefer a symbolic avatar instead. For you convenience there will be a collection of pictures in the Photo Gallery that can be used for Avatars. If you would like an Aum picture as avatar, you will find almost 300 very beautiful Aum pictures; How to do it? The easiest way is just to choose a picture that you already have on your computer or to download one from the Internet (for example one of the Aum pictures). Go to Edit Avatar, click on “Browse” and find the picture you have downloaded to your computer and it is done. You don’t have to think about the pictures size, it is taken care of automatically. (The so called “Avatar” is the picture that appears in connection with your postings. It doesn’t have anything to do with the vedic word “avatar”, it’s just the term used in forums...) How to post a NEW THREAD1. Go to the forum you want to post in, for example http://www.experiencefestival.com/forum/present-yourself/
2. Click on “New Thread”. 3. Write something with the editor (working much like Microsoft Word but is simpler) and click “Preview Post” to see how it looks and when you are finished click “Submit” 4. Done. If you want you can edit the posting afterwards whenever you want (by clicking "Edit"). And remember: it's always nice with a smilie now and then !Last edited by Jonas1; 05-15-2008 at 11:32 PM.. |

Oneness Movement Local ForumsThe purpose of the Oneness Movement Local Forums is
1. Giving an opportunity to discuss purely local issues, events, projects etc. 2. Being more "intimate" than a "big" international board. 2. Giving those that doesn't have English as native tongue the same opportunity as English speaking .The local forums are not intended, nor can they, replace the real local websites. What they can do is to provide the necessary software for forum activities as most websites doesn't have that. But also, GO is catering for a larger audience than only those directly connected to Oneness Movement (GO has over 1.6 million unique visitors per month). Many of them are still new to Oneness and may not have found local information otherwise. Please have links to all related websites, both in postings but also in the so called "signature" the text field in the bottom of every posting (edit your personal signature here http://www.experiencefestival.com/fo...=editsignature). Initially it will be just one forum per country (or state) but if the members of a local community wants to have several sub-forums - no problem! If you want to have for example one forum for sharing/discussion, another for announcement of events and another for deeksha requests, just contact me and I will fix it. It is also possible to connect the local forums to a certain Social Group. This gives some extra features but to make it simple, there is no such connection for the moment. Hopefully there will not be any problem with different alphabets...it may not work perfectly in the beginning but it shouldn't be a big problem. All countries are invited to have their own forum in their own language. The moderator/host should be someone well respected within the community in question. There is no problem having several hosts sharing the responsibility. Please contact me and I will set up everything! OK, time for some music: !Last edited by Jonas1; 05-19-2008 at 03:04 PM.. |
