Door knockers

Depending on where you live most people have dealt with this before. What do you do with door knockers wanting to spread the love of anything else, that you might not believe in. Someone came by the other day, asked my religion and then tried to debate with me why I was wrong......lucky for me the phone ended up rining or else I dont know what would have happened.

Door knockers, that's a great way of putting it. I hate them! I have no problem with religion adn respect that others believe differently than I do. But don't try to convince me of what God I should and shouldn't believe in. My grandmother is a door knocker like you call them, and she has tried over and over to convince me that Jehova is my savior. I don't tell you who to believe in, don't tell me. If I want to believe that my cup of coffee is my savior that's my right.

If you don't want people to come to your door, put up a sign on your gate. Witnesses will obey no trespassing signs-they are required to by law in America, and that is what congregations are told to do.

Witnesses aren't the only "door-knockers" though and not all the people will pay attention to your sign. I have found the easiest way to get "off the list" of stops is to talk to them once. Usually when I've managed to quote the Bible at them that contradicts what they are teaching, they seem to cross me off as a prospect and they don't bother me anymore. Depending on what religion they are, I change my tack as I know things that a certain religion doesn't want to hear about their beginnings.

Answer the door naked. Or holding a rubber chicken and spouting insane things in your bathrobe. Some will not leave you alone despite the laws and church rules. But if they ask if you've found Jesus and you invite them in while naked they probably won't be coming in that time nor coming back
