Start here: What is Oneness, Oneness Movement, Oneness Blessing (deeksha) etc?

The very first time I signed up to the forum, one of the questions was about deeksha. It made me feel a little out of place... I mean do I have one of those deeksha things? Do they come in sizes? It was good reading this thread got a little clarification about oneness and deeksha.

Most of my reasons for becoming a Buddhist have been discussed above.
I looked at the universe, saw how enormous it is, and felt that if there is a god he has an awful lot to look after!
How could he watch over me, take care of me, when so many were in need of his attention.
I do not deny the existence of a god. I do not denigrate those that believe in a god. Neither do I close the door on the possibility of there being a god.
In the Buddhist philosophy I found a teacher that told me to investigate all other faiths, not to accept even the Buddha's word without question, but to treat all sentient beings with respect and humility.
In meditation I work on myself, my attitudes and reactions, hopefully becoming a better being in the process.
I found it to be a small step towards the gaol I think we all seek in the Global Oneness movement.

Even on the very physical plane, this teacher in me, who has been teaching for almost three decades, have realised that nothing can be taught or learnt; learning has to happen, my beloved. Some of us feel, it has been taught; some others feel, it has been learnt; but the reality is that learning occurs.

You are a very learned person, as I feel from what you write. But as yourself say, please look inside and try to see yourself. You shall certainly accept that what you are trying to correct is yourself, the moment the real learning takes place. And that moment, the urge to paint something in black or white, as it matters now, will cease.

I know, very well that you too know this. But knowing is not knowing, at times, till it is not lived by the learner.

Hoping to learn things that way, some day,

It is in fact, as I feel, my ignorance that speaks thru me. Some of the beloved ones consider it as my innocence, and some others as intelligence.

When and how the light dawns…

My Lord! I don’t know when it is that the light dawns!

Nor how it is that the light dawns!

I know but well, though I need not know too,

That It dawns when It dawns

And It dawns the way It dawns.

It dawns and then It is all that is!

All the structured theories and philosophies

Collapse in that golden light!

If anyway it is the theory that survives,

Of course, I must then search again for true Light!

For, who am I to dispute Your ways,

So as to maintain that the way I propound

Is the only way,

When I too vanish as a mirage?

And all that exists is only the golden Light

And all that is felt is Love, Bliss and Joy!

As the real self is lost and found in You

To the ecstasy of the Heavens!

What service is it

If pride swells large!

What bliss is it

If ego eats up all!

What faith is it

If doubt is all that is left behind!

Your Golden Voice rings in the inner ear

And it is inside outside too!
