.....that the end of times is near? I know that the Bible and many other holy manuscripts speak of signs of the end times and many are appearing now. I don't know if I believe that time will ever end in a natural way. Maybe they are talking about the end of our way of living? Maybe they were talking about some of humanity living on another planet at last? What do you think?

Is the end of time near? I very much doubt so. People /cults are forever going into a panic by setting a date on the end of time, only to look foolish on said date or worst end their lives.

My two pennies worth !

People fear what they do not understand,and by doing so go into denial or rely on others to inform them, then take from that what fits thier personal self/Identity.(The doomsday ones,or God and the Angels talks to me ones)to name a few...Most people go into denial though,"How can whats always been not be any more "this is conditioning and attachment to the materilistic world and ones indentity the indentity has caused an illusional seperation....

How does one know though... if whats always been is the Truth ?

This seperation and the lack of understanding of evolution has been caused by "truths" being hidden of history and evolution,by those deeming power over others,and with a personal agenda,whether it be political or religious dogma,have we not been told how to live..behave.what is right what is wrong,how to think.what not to think ?.What to watch on TV ,how to raise our children,who is good who is bad,what is socially acceptable and who goes to heaven and who goes to hell !!!!!.. and so on...We are even told now it is acceptable to kill main torture,certian types of peoples !!!

WE LIVE ON FEAR AND IN FEAR and we are controlled by such.

All of us here,would have been tortured and burned as witches at one time in history,have you ever wondered why ?

Is it the end of time near ?... maybe for some yes..for others its the begining

2012 is not a deadline mankind will continue,"That what has been hidden (Truth) will become apparent"

Thanks guys. I think on this and worry that we have something to worry about and then I look at things logically and then say...NAH! I am trying my hardest to make a better me and everything that I do just brings me back to that worry.

Anna Mae, I appreciate your question and would like to add my comments. I am a follower of the Bible. I believe its teachings and endeavor to follow them in my daily walk. The Bible does not teach that the world will end in the sense of total destruction of all things. It does teach that there will be a definite change in power. Jesus Christ will return to earth to set up his earthly kingdom. He will restore all things that have been destroyed by man's sin. The Bible also teaches that only those who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior will occupy this new heaven and new earth.

I do understand that this forum promotes oneness and it is not my purpose to try to cause distension. I have been a part of this forum for some time now and have always appreciated the welcome I have felt here. We all search for the same answers.

In regards to Narnia's comment concerning man's prediction of when this will happen, I would say that this is not proof that the end will not happen. The Bible teaches that Jesus himself does not know when the time will be, only God the Father. Whenever, I hear someone state a specific day, date or time, I am only certain it will not happen then.

Anyway, AnnaMae, even if the end of the world was near and it was total distruction of what we know, why are you worrying??? We are promised something better after that !!! Or do you chose to believe some parts of the bible but not others?? And why is it that we eagerly believe in the hell and punishment bits but have problem believing in the happily ever after bit??
