Power of language.

There was this experience I had recently which made me believe firmly that language is by and far the most powerful cord that binds people together.
I was walking down a side street and got to hear snatches of a conversation spoken in a language I have not heard in a long time. It took me right back to happier times when I spoke the same way. I went along discreetly just to hear what they were saying and grinning all along ofcourse they could have called the cops on me I must have appeared that weird !
There is something about sounds that we recognize and respond to almost like homing pigeons. This is definitely the most awesome tool man may have come up with.

Language truely is an amazing and beautiful thing, especially when you find out that there is a language out there that we all understand at a soul level called the 'language of light'.

Re: Power of language.

This may be a little off track, but I get the same feeling when I hear someone speak in an accent that is near the tri-state area of Tennesse, Kentucky, and West Virginia. I have a lot of family there (I'm in SC) and when I hear that very distinctive twang, I know immediately where the speaker is from. It's such a wonderful feeling to experience. I can only imagine what it's like to hear a different language and being taken back to another time in your life.

I guess it feels like we are home whenever we hear someone else speaking your tongue. I know the feeling I don't speak my native language as much as I should and whenever I hear someone else speaking it, I can't help but smile

I totally agree that language is a powerful binder. Hearing your mother tongue spoken in an unsuspected place gives you a feeling of warmth and love that comes from deep in your soul.

Thanks, I really love that Riana - a language of light. There certainly is a language that is pre verbal, a vibratory language. We can hear it in tones - when listening to a language i don't know - i can get the feeling that is being transmitted - even though i don't know the content - this is universal, something we all do and shows again how we are more alike than different. Some pray with out words, just being in the feeling of the communication.
In the language of light, Namaste, Rainy

Most lanaguaes the same with certain words will spark something inside us, sometimes it could be something or someone lost and forgotten. Anytime I hear someone speak german it reminds me of a friend that past, and so on. Language is a wonderful thing.

Re: Power of language.

We all pass through so many stages of our lives. There are phrases that we may have used or heard when we were children on a constant basis. Our parents may have had a special word or phrase that they used a lot, but as time moves on we either forget the phrase or because we have moved on and are around a new group of people, we start using the words or phrases that are particular to that group.

It's nice to hear those things again from time to time. It brings back great memories.
