I was always taught that 8 was the number of higher power. My mom rented a mailbox #88 for many years after getting it randomly because of this fact. Of course there are always numerous interpretations in numerology.
Very interesting. I had never heard that about the number 8. My phone number growing up had 888 as the first 3 digits. Now I am intrigued to look into this more.
It could also symbolize infinity. 888: the unified spiral of the physical merging with the Spiritual; moving toward the completion of the ascension process through the energies of the 222 and 444.
Kia ora, today's date is 08/08/08 and when I wrote this down I felt there was someting special about these numbers. After reading the replies the message I have received applies to the changes I am experiencing in my life. I have only recently become interested in finding out who I am and what my purpose in life is which has taken me on a spiritual journey that I think my family (in particular my husband) may not be ready for. I have been guided by Louise Hay and Dr Doreen Virtue 's writings to gain insight to my inner self. Unfortunately communication with my husband has broken down and we both seem to be just tolerating one another regardless of the love we have for eachother. What Essence wrote seems true for me. Hi all, Earlier today i received a u tube on 8 8 8. I put it in the Open forum. You were all so tuned in to the numbers/energy, how awesome.

When one person in a relationship changes, especially rather quickly and in an unexpected direction, it can be very scary for the other person or people involved. I will give you advice only from my own perspective and experiences. Don’t try and force your new found knowledge on your spouse or family. It will probably only scare them, especially if they follow a more traditional belief system. Simply follow your heart and continue your awakening process and answer their questions, when they ask, in a loving way. I have seen way too many people try to force their partner to believe what they believe simply because they are under the impression that for a partnership to work both people have to hold the same belief system. This is not true. All that is necessary for a loving relationship to work is for each person to allow, and have respect for, the others belief system, no matter how they personally feel or think about it.

The interesting part is I don't usually pay attention to the date just sign my name and move on. That was in the morning today.
This is in the evening of the same day and I am seeing the same numbers again. Remarkable coincidence. Ofcourse this is not what the thread is about.
