Re: If we are one with source, who do you pray to?
Greetings all!
I must say that this post I started has prompted some awesome responses and for that I am grateful.
I must say though, as I continue to grow and expand, I have a greater understanding that
words cannot properly explain and that is…it is honorable and just to give thanks to our source and if we need to pray for help, there is an entire universe waiting to do just that and if we call out in honor and love to everything that is Spirit, then Spirit calls back in honor and in love.
As much as we are one with everything, we are separate, like waves on the ocean. This is a mystery that the mind cannot explain.
Enlightenment doesn’t separate us from everything else, it doesn’t leave us alone with just ourselves, it makes us aware that we are Spirit in our unique form and that with this awareness comes a much different way of co-existing with everything else. We all are here for a purpose and we all serve and need each other.

Re: If we are one with source, who do you pray to?
I've gone to post a couple of times and lost them in the process of sending. The discussions here have certainly had me thinking about the why and how of the whys and hows.
When I began this journey, I had so many questions, too many to have answered instantly. That was 20 years ago. For me, every time I asked, I received...sometimes the results where quite shocking, so I have learnt to be careful of what I am asking for. This source I give thanks and cry out to, for help, I can not put a name to. I can give descriptive words but I can not say what it is or why or how. We who are aware of this connection recognise each other and have no need for proof because we have no ulterior-motive other than to share in love with those who are open to it.
I don't think it matters if we need an image or ritual for prayer, whether it be Buddha, Jesus, Krishna, Mohammad...a tree, a crystal, the ocean, in meditation or communion...it's how ever one can feel connected to our highest spirit/energy/wisdom. I call it 'God', for the lack of a better name. Some people say the way is through our minds others say it is through our hearts, or soul or even through our bodies. For me it was through all these levels, that I cried out for what I could not feel and did not know. Given that God is in each and everyone of us, it is only a matter of time that we will recognise our Self in each other. We have the ability to create life or to destroy it. No amount of intelligence or money can effect this.
In Australia we have a new prime minister who has opened people up to the concept of debate and hence, opening the way to new thoughts and ways of solving an increasing level of chaos. I do not see how the change we need can be implemented through our current ancient way of government. It would require a complete change of system of which I would not know where to begin. There is so much discrimination on all levels of our system, I lost hope for it's change. In Australia so much emphasis is on accumulated wealth and status... education, being the way to achieve this. Our schools teach on a military system designed for convict settlement...still.
It has become almost impossible to live outside of our system, which has caused a sense of apathy to settle amongst a lot of us. I stood my ground a number of times to find myself with a battle on my hands, in the end I walked away. The most effective way I can live is to not buy into it. The game being played is about being the winner, the best, the strongest or to have something 'over' an other...
We receive a lot of news about the USA, more so than from our supposed mother country, England, or our neighbours, New Zealand, New Guinea and Indonesia. I've often heard it said that what ever happens in the USA will happen here and effect the whole world. I do wonder how one country can be given such dominance because clearly, all countries have something of value. It seems to reflect life as it is in nuclear form.
I think I've responded to several threads in this one. Sorry for digressing...
I look forward to reading something new each time I log on.
Love and laughs, M*
