Re: If we are one with source, who do you pray to?
Prayer is a form of meditation.
After all what is prayer ?
It is when one focuses on the blessing of life. reaching further to accumulate wisdom of that light which has given birth to exsistence. If prayer is focused on a beautiful thought than that thought will manifestate and blossom within thee. The heart most be pure and untainted by the material desires of the world when in prayer, just as one would when in meditation.
Therefor meditation and prayer may seem different but both serve the same pupose. To find , to be , to love , to become, ONE.
The meaning of ONE: is to be absorbed into heavens light, uniting with the energy of the incomprehensible , in which most have learned to call god. .
Bless the thought of well full thinking.

Harmonythruchaos,
What a beautiful thought as to the way and use of prayer. Although I feel most of the general public, atleast those of non-indigenious cultures, still use prayer to plea for help and gain from some power outside of themselves (that is not a judgement, simply an observation), as more and more people recognize the, shall we say, "right use of prayer" the world and its negative situations begin to heal. It is a glorious site to behold indeed.
I can't remember, and probably didn't know to begin with....lol, who first made this statement, but for me it makes much sense.
'Prayer is talking to God. Meditation is listening to God.'
May your day be filled with.....
Love, Light and Blessings,

That is a very good way of putting it. I'd never thought of prayer like that.
If I can put a slant on that. Prayer is thought. Every time you think that energy is sent out into the universe and is sent back to you (see law of attraction 'metaphysics'). So with that in mind you are always praying to the oneness each time you think a thought.
That being the case you must be very careful what you think 'pray' for as if you directly ask for something, say world peace and all you think about and concentrate on is world peace then that is a negative thought which will not bring world peace. It will have quite the opposite effect.
If you imagine what what the world would be like without war and imagine all the starving children with food and smiles on their faces then that is a positive thought. If everyone thought the same thought then there would be world peace.
So if you want a new bike, imagine yourself riding on this new bike down your favourite cycle route and the universe will find you the bike or give you inspiration to do something to get the new bike. It might not happen today or this week but it will happen.

Re: If we are one with source, who do you pray to?
Hi beloved ones,
"If we are one with the source, who do we pray to?" Yes, when we examine this question, don't forget the "if" in the beginning because it is a big if! WHEN WE BECOME ONE WITH THE SOURCE, that if will be gone, and then, this question too will be gone. Till then, there will be the question because we are not one with the source yet!
Lots of love to all!

Re: If we are one with source, who do you pray to?
Hi James and everyone,
I have been giving this question a lot of thought as it raised some realizations and more questions of my own. I was asked, the other day, if I believed 'IN' God. To my surprise, I hesitated and answered that I believe in God's existence but had trouble in saying that I believed 'IN' God. My question, during the conversation I was having was, how do you see God? It was put to me, some time ago, that how one sees God, is how one sees one Self. I realized that some how doubt has crept into my mind regarding my sense of trust in Gods guidance, hence, my ability to trust in my Self. I am living as a hypocrite, telling others to trust, when I, my Self, does not. I had an experience a few years ago where I was unable to continue trusting in the oneness I felt with God and realized that I have not reconciled the conflict and questions I continue to have. I also realize this is the reason I felt the need to join this site...I desperately long for the return of the constant oneness I once felt with God. It seems as though, as soon as I bring my intellect into the subject, conflict with-in me begins. So many things have happened that just make no sense at all.
I remember when I use to feel at one with God, I had no need to pray, other than to give thanks and a desire to constantly be in meditation. I have found it impossible to exist in this world in such a state as it made me far to vulnerable to attack from others. I see no point in playing the martyr when it would serve no purpose. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say here. I have found that living in the now is not enough for me. I need some sort of direction/purpose/reason to wake up each morning. It seems it is not so much who we pray to, but rather, the level of trust we have when praying. There is little meaning in pray if one has doubt. God has no need to prove it Self, so I ask myself, what was I expecting of God? Why do I feel so let down? Why can't I trust that all is as it is meant to be? What will it take for me to return home to the source of all life? Is it that I feel I am unworthy of Gods love? I use to believe that love is the most powerful energy of all existence, now I see everything as impermanent and ever changing and that even love can die.
I'm sorry for such a negative post, it's just that I need to be honest with myself if no one else. Does anyone have any answers? M*

Hi “M”
There are no words that can explain what you are experiencing. I do however, completely
Understand and I offer the experience I learned I my path in hopes that it helps you.
In my humble opinion and from my experience, it doesn’t matter what any of us believe because all that matters is what “is”. My beliefs have changed over the years, my personality has changed, my passions have changed, everything changes. If I was born in China, everything that appears to be me would be different.
As I have studied many religions, let me share with you what the Buddha has taught me about this and that is, as you say “everything is impermanent”.
What you have “realized” was the very foundation for everything he taught!
What this means, he taught, is there can be no “permanent” you that is separate from me or everything that exist. He taught that that concept of “I” is an illusion and spirit is the
“I” that is manifesting in all “forms” that exist. This is liberating to say the least and the beginning of a whole new existence.
We all long for that full realization of this oneness, we all long to “go home”, to remember who we are. I struggle with that every day.
The only way to experience anything is to be present so my humble suggestion is to dive into these feelings you are having and ask that spirit will shine its light on the source of them and when you grasp its meaning for you, thank it because it is helping you to grow and to come back to the oneness you once knew.
It’s all good!!!!!!!!!! You are God's love!!!!!!!!
James

Hi beloved one, M*
The answer is in what you have written... when we feel the need to trust God through the self, the mind is casting its shadow on the self... when one crosses over the need to trust oneself in order to trust God, (not by one's own effort but by the Grace of God) all the influences of the mind will cease to exist, and one will find trust in self and all around because of God, not vice versa... then it is the Light that falls on all around, the Golden Light... so there won't be any shadow, my beloved one...
Praying to beloved Bhagavan to remove the shadow and to make the beautiful vision further clear for you, beloved one...
And as you have yourself said elsewhere in another blog, all great changes are preceded by chaos - chaos which actually is a churning process by which true butter emerges... sweet angel, the most wonderful time of all your lives is fast approaching... this soul is extremely happy for you...
Lots and lots of love!
Venu

Re: If we are one with source, who do you pray to?
Hello "Everyone"
As we each have our own experiences it can be difficult to comprehend If we as individuals really understand what another is feeling/saying....As we "beings" usually compare situations with our own journeys....Emotional pain cannot be measured......You/we feel what we do and cope the best we can depending on our personalities and many other factors.....Sometimes we learn to live with emotional pain by caring for those who need our help in the now......If unintentional harm was done by us to others which on reflection causes us pain......To say sorry to "our" spirit, and also to the spirit/s we unintentionally hurt....(whether spirit has moved on or still hear in body) And "believe" you will be heard.....In time when sorrow leans away from your own pain, and towards the healing of others. Eventually answers will be clear and you will understand the reasons for your own personal journey. In order to guide others you first have to experience...If you stay in the pain you will not fully free your spirit to help others..............This may be by just living your life in kindness showing others It's possible to have endured real pain and still work through it....Thus reaching "Knowing"... The spirits, "YOU" ...have done the pioneering work so others may join in light, and "Oneness" A truley spiritual act of kindness.....I pray your pain releases you to why you endured it.....To all seekers of truth..............My thoughts............
Love, Peace, and Joy to you all........kak....

Re: If we are one with source, who do you pray to?
Dearest Venu, James and kak,
Tears are flowing...You are all so beautiful, thank you.
My biological father appeared in a dream last night. He died a painful death some years ago, of which, at the time I was glad. No longer did I need to live in fear. As a small child I lost my whole family and I was made a ward of the state, because of his violent and sadistic ways. His death was due to his guilt after I exposed him to the police 33 years later. I did this in honer of one of my younger sisters, whose life was destroyed by him and also for me to find a way to heal an ever present sense of rage. No one had ever acknowledge her suffering and I did what I felt was right at the time. I have never felt any love or compassion towards him, in fact what I felt was more akin to terror and a deep hatred for him. My inability to forgive him has hindered all my relationships and my whole life. It is the first time he has appeared in a dream (too long to go into here), and I awoke in wonder because there was no fear or negativity involved. Given that God loves even the worst of humanity, I had to accept that this was an area in my life I could never reconcile. Thanks to you all a miracle is happening. The dream I had has given me a new way of seeing him, someone human, living with a dis-ease he could not control, instead of an evil monster. I see that now I can put him to rest in peace and find an understanding which will lead me to true forgiveness. Where once I saw impermanence as loss now I see how wonderful impermanence is. I've read that a miracle means, a return to love...God bless you. M*
