Mind over matter.

I have always believed in the power of the human mind. There have been several studies on how the human being has not tapped the full potential of his mind. What do you think of using this ability to promote Oneness ?

Isn't that a personal choice - to use the full power of our mind? Oneness is a concept that is certainly well worthy of our efforts. It takes all to see it to be effective for all. The power of our mind is in the ability to be creative in our thinking. That is certainly becoming evident in today's world.

[Robin]

Well what I was going into was a little more than just a matter of selection.
There is this theory that if we use the full power of our minds we can do wonders,like an operation without anasthesia. Then there was another that said we can move objects with our mind.

I'm not sure I believe in the concept of mind over matter as it relates to such things as moving objects with our mind. I believe their are spiritual forces involved rather than the mind.

I do believe we have he ability to use our minds to effect the world around us. If we decide to focus on moving objects, or winning a drawing, or even slowing time is our choice. There have been studies done to support the idea these are all possible.

What did really get me thinking along these lines was the manner in which I have been able for the past one month to successfully complete so many activities not all of them physical. The demands have been as diverse as they come but when I put my mind to it its done!
The amount of mental activity we have to get up to at times I can say our minds must have immense capabilities. The wonder of it all is that we take it for granted.
I am sure almost all of you here go through similar situations and come out winners anyway. So I am not saying anything new just giving it a different perspective.

The Law of Attraction, The Law of Cause and Effect....they work whether we even think about it. How? Mind over matter attracts that which we focus upon. That which we send out (in energy) will return multiplied. Our minds are very creative things - be careful what you ask for, for indeed it shall be so.

Assuming the seat of the mind to be in the brain as that is the organ used for reasoning, memory and everything else, I believe that there is a huge untapped potential for growth. Science has already shown that something like 95% of our brain is unused in our day-to-day living. I do believe that the rest of that unused portion has abilities that we have yet to realize except in a few rare instances. I think people who have somehow developed or activated those other portions of the brain are the ones who have a sixth sense or "power" that the rest of us do not yet have.

I’m curious; do you think it might be that as we awaken individually we begin using more of the untapped portions and powers of our human brain? And, that even in that, there may be a sort of upper limit, shall we say, as to how much can be tapped into until we reach the shift in collective human consciousness when we will then be able to open all 100% of our brain/mind/intelligence abilities?

The brain is the vehicle for the mind, as the spirit is the vehicle for the soul. Consider...the chakras open along the endocrine system of the body (all the major organs) and the solar plexus, next to the stomach, is yellow - the mind color - and we get real panic attacks in the stomach area when we are emotionally upset. How much of that could be the mind?

Psychic development is considered to be from the pineal gland. We open to the psychic sensitivities through all the senses - sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch - tactile and emotional and add 2 more - intuition - from the gut; and I know - from the heart.

Using a flow of energy throughout the body, we attune to the psychic sensitivities. They are not centered in any one place or organ. If you flow with the energies, you should be able to see out of the big toe. After all, the skin is the largest organ.

While the mind rationalizes, the psychic sensitivities accept any information. It is closely connected to the nervous system, but not a part thereof. We train the mind to all information. We manifest the psychic throughout the body.
