Colors you wear

I wonder how many people understand that the colors around you can change the way you do just about anything. I have been experimenting with this and so far today at least, the color being brown, has been a very relaxed and flowing day.

You are very correct, colors can and do affect us on many different levels. What you are doing is actually a form of Color Therapy.
The color Brown is very grounding, so that might help explain to you why your day is "relaxed and flowing". It is the color that attaches us to the earth and her animal beings. It is also used when working to heal animals.
Another example; let's choose Orange since it it complimentary to Brown. Orange is the color of the Sacral (2nd) chakra, whose sanskrit name is Svadhisthana.This chakra and color is all about reproduction and creation, pleasure, sexuality, nurturing, movement and change. For example, on a physical level this color would be used when someone was looking to reproduce. It is also the color of creativity/creation of any form, art... painting, music, writing etc. It is energetic and inspiring, full of life and movement.
Some incenses (scents) associated with this color and chakra are jasmine, rose and sandalwood. Another way to work with and on this chakra and color are through gemstones. Any gemstone of an orange color would be fine to use, but some that have a special affinity with this color are citrine, carnelian and golden topaz.
Also the main issues, or lessons associated with this chakra are those dealing with sexuality and emotional balance.

Oh, and just for those who might be curious, the Sacral Chakra is located approximately 2 fingers width below the belly button. (is that one word or two? hyphen or no hyphen? ....... lol never can remember...)

I wonder if you could tell me about the colors, violet and gold. They are the colors I see when I am in transcendent state. I have not been able to find a satisfactory explanation as to what it means. They are also colors I am immediately drawn to.

Greetings M,
Both these colors you mentioned are associated with the 7th/Crown Chakra. The function of this chakra is to open us and connect us to the higher spiritual realms. When this chakra is not balanced and operating properly it can lead to egocentric behavior, depression, obsessional thinking and confusion. The positive life lesson and main issues with beginning to work with this chakra opened properly are expanding our consciousness, spirituality and selflessness.
That is the meaning of both of these colors in a general sense.
Now as for you personally.
When I connect to your energy what I "see" is the Violet is located in the area between your 6th/Third Eye and 7th/Crown Chakras. What this tells me is that you are working on opening and balancing these chakras. Your Third Eye has been opening and closing for some time now and you are in the process of learning how to keep it open and not be overwhelmed by it. Now that you are becoming more accustomed to keeping your Third Eye open and balanced you are beginning to open and work with your Crown Chakra more.
The Gold color is actually located approximately 10 to 12 inches above your head, (approximately at the edge of the spiritual and mental layers of your etheric body field). This is actually your Spiritual Guide making a stronger conscious/physical connection with you and assisting you in this work you are currently doing on yourself. This is happening because on some level you have asked for this to occur and are now allowing it to occur. This Gold color is a doorway, if you will, to making a more conscious connection to your Original Self. It is the assistance you have been looking for and asking for.
Keep meditating and when you do, consciously open your 6th/Third Eye and 7th/Crown Chakras. Then once they are open, spinning and balanced, connect to the Golden orb of light that is above your head and see where that takes you.
I will suggest that you first make sure your other chakras are open, balanced and in good condition before you do this and secondly, I also suggest that, at least in the beginning, you not leave your 6th and 7th chakras fully open except when you are meditating. Keeping them open in public and 24/7 can be a bit overwhelming until you are more familiar with working with them. Don't shut them down completely when you are not meditating, simply slow the spin way down and and not have them fully open. IF... you find even that is too much in the beginning, then go ahead and shut them down, but open them back up at the earliest possible convenient time and place.
I will also tell you that I see minor blockages in your 3rd/Solar Plexus and 5th/Throat chakras. Nothing too heavy and thick, but minor blockages all the same. Just in case you are not overly familiar with the colors of these two chakras, the 3rd is yellow and the 5th is blue. Both of these blockages are related to self-esteem issues, just in case you were wondering.
I hope this has helped and answered some of your questions. I also hope I have not stated too much of a personal nature in this public forum and made you feel uncomfortable. I answered here because you posted and asked it here so I assumed that is where you preferred I do so.

P.P.S. Just an FYI: the sanskrit word for the Crown Chakra is Sahasrara and means "thousandfold". It is symbolized by a thousand petaled white lotus flower.

I will gladly share with you about these colors.

Both of these colors are associated with the 4th/Heart Chakra. Basically green is considered the color of healing and pink is considered the color of the vibration of unconditional love, (at the level just above the purely physical).
When this chakra is not open and working properly it can cause emotional problems and dysfunctions relating to Co-dependency, melancholia, and create fears concerning loneliness, commitment and/or betrayal. These emotional problems, if left unattended and not worked through can, (which means it is a possibility not an inevitability) then in turn cause physical maladies such as shallow breathing, high blood pressure, heart dis-ease and even cancer.
The spiritual goals associated with the energy of the Heart chakra are learning balance, compassion and self-acceptance. The life lesson associations are forgiveness and compassion for oneself and for others, and the main issues to be learned and garnered associated with the Heart chakra are all about our beliefs about love and relationships on every level.
Some scents associated with this chakra are rose, bergamot and Melissa. A few crystals associated with it are, watermelon tourmaline, rose quartz, emerald, green calcite, jade, azurite, aventurine, malachite and moonstone—basically any stone which is green or pink, and especially those with both colors in them.
The Sanskrit name of this chakra is Anahata and its symbol is a 12 petal lotus flower, (usually pink in color), within this 12 petal lotus is two intersecting triangles which make up a 6-pointed star, one pointing up and one pointing down, (Mer ka ba). These two triangles demonstrate the perfect balance of Spirit descending into Matter, (down pointing) and Matter ascending into, rising toward, (upward pointing) Spirit.
This is basic information about these two colors; much more can be learned in studying and working with the energy vibrations of these, and all other, colors.

The personal information I get when I attach to your energy is that you are working on raising your vibration and consciousness to hold and exist at the level of the Heart chakra and finish up with your life lessons associated with existing solely from the 3rd/Solar Plexus Chakra where the unawakened exist and live the majority of their life. It is your desire to leave behind what no longer serves your most positive spiritual growth that is propelling you ever upward (the upward pointing triangle, Matter into Spirit) in your vibrational growth. Your strong desire to move past the everyday dramas and illusions most live in is what is drawing these colors into your energy field right now. You are drawing to you the higher spiritual energies you desire to exist within on a daily basis and this is why the colors green and pink are now showing up for you what seems like everywhere you look. Know that when you see these colors, it is your Guides and Higher Self speaking to you, reminding you that you are not alone and are making progress to your desired goal.

You know, I can't speak for others but I would venture a guess that for many who constantly wear black there is a reason that probably is associated in some way with emotional issues. Whatever the personal Illusion they are living in, whatever the story line drama of the physical life they have and are creating for themselves everyday they more than likely are struggling with some very deep emotions.
Some do this simply because it is the accepted thing to do within the faction of society they have chosen to exist within.
Just some thoughts on this subject.
OH.... and by the way, there is no need to fear or be "spooked" by the color black. Man has given it the connotation of "negative" and/or "evil". The vibration of black in and of itself is not of this energy. As a matter of fact, black is absorbing. The "color" black is created because all other colors are absorbed into it and the hue we see as "black" is reflected back at us. Black is actually a very protective and healing "color" when seen in its proper perspective and the proper intent attached to it.
To be very honest with you, I have noticed that a lot of naturally gifted "empaths" have a tendency to wear black, especially when they are young and don't really understand their gift. They do this because they haven't yet learned to control their power and are overwhelmed by others emotional energies. Unfortunately for them, wearing black is only adding to their dilemma because it only absorbs more. They would do better to wear white or another bright color.
Anyway, just some thoughts on this........
