Calender Accuracy

I am curious-many things that have been predicted in the past have had dates doubted because of the changes in calenders throughout the centuries. Is the 2012 date considered to be accurate?

The date 12/21/2012 is derived and calculated using the Mayan Long Count Calendar then translated to the appropriate Gregorian Calendar date with all the changes in the Gregorian calendar taken into account.


Carl Johan Calleman's calculations place the "Shift" date on 10/28/2011 instead of 12/21/2021.


I am by no means an expert on this subject, but I have read a few books by several different authors and his reasoning is very persuasive. I have been studying and learning on this subject for many years now and his way of looking at it is fresh and informative. Also, Barbara Hand Clow has written a book using his calcultions.

Basically, (very basically) what he is saying is the end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar and the shift in human consciousness en-masse to the next level of awareness occurs on 10/28/2011 with the time between then and 12/21/2012 being an assimilation period.
