I am reading contradictory things-did the Maya focus on this date or not? Was it just the end of the calender as they had worked it-like someone said, like the end of a year book or planner instead? Or did they have something in mind for it?
Thats a good questions. From what I've researched, the Mayans thought that a drastic event would end the world and life in 2012. I believe it was December 21th they said this event would occur. Basically, its a cataclysm which means "wash down" in Greek. They believed a big flood would come.
Thats why the calendar ends there because they thought life would end in 2012 so there is no point for them to continue onto 2013. Hope that helps.
The Mayan astrological calendar is impressive, however, it was created under the sole knowledge of one man. Basically human, far from an enlightened soul. His name was Quetzalcoatl. He was banished to the then uncharted continent where he made a prediction based on a credible foundation. However, an end of days scenario is not to be. Whether it was ever meant as a message of an ending or not, I don't think it was simply because the end of a sun cycle does not preclude extinction. As we speak, you can log on to the official NASA website, open today's pictures of the sun, and you will all see a massive, beautiful spacecraft attending our sun's great shift. Is this to save us from the predicted solar radiation flare that has been, up til now, clearly charted and proven to be approaching? There remain but two futures for us to choose. There is still time to choose correctly. But this time will run out if we do not awaken each other. That will leave the darkest future to be. A possible future was avoided 3 or 4 days ago. Did u miss it? A "Navy" battleship shot a U.S. satellite down from orbit. Why? Because the sattelite should have contained 1 pound of plutonium on board. 1 pound= 1 billion deaths. The Pentagon warned Japan of "Fuel" contamination of their shores. Russia declared this an unimaginable act that will lead to the deaths of millions. The Pentagon issued a brief after there was no plutonium found. They seemed surprised?? The alien/higher life forces that are here, and that's all I can say for certain about their agenda, yet, claimed they removed the plutonium from all 50+ satellites for just this reason. Go to youtube and watch an official nasa video clearly showing a huge spacecraft engaging a U.S. satellite and attempting to well, u get the picture. We are so very thankful to these advanced forces for this. I wish to make it clear, I sleep very little and awake to research these visitors with passion, but i do not know if their declaration of love and spirituality guided agenda is real, or manipulitive mastery. There are clearly 2 separate "other worldly" forces presently here. I Have great detail on their identities, origin, messages, but i dont KNOW the key answers. In time... If anyone would like to talk shop... Please!!!

Excellent point bro! A predictable cyclical event was probably what the Q had in mind. The polar ice shelf falling into the Arctic ocean would cause very surf able waves, we shall soon learn if Nibiru actually approaches or its part of the New hoax, its been awhile since the amateur hour special in New York. However, expert and good guy Zacharia Sitchin claims nibiru will not return in 2012. we shall see if his retraction is not by sword!

Pureenergy, I didn't know anything about this event and am a little shocked to hear about it instead. I read the news daily and yet it didn't seem to feature-how come?
Do you have any links you would like to share on it?
This is something I am working to study up on so I just wanted to say thanks for the info here, its helped a great deal in trying to understand all of this as well.
