What is Oneness Movement?
Oneness Movement is not an organization, but rather people from different faiths and creeds united by a common thought; we are all one and we cannot allow suffering to occur for another part of the creation anymore than we can allow suffering for ourselves. Whatever harm that is done to one part of the creation – is a harm done to ourselves.
It is the view that people from different faiths and cultures by far have much more uniting them than the opposite. It is also the view that transformation of consciousness, both on an individual and collective level, is necessary for humanity to move into a more prosperous and sustainable direction.
It is the belief that this transformation is not only possible – but that it actually already has started.
The idea with Global Oneness Community is to share ideas and thoughts about this, and by doing so inspire to action and concrete change.
What is Oneness?
In the sense it is used here, it is basically twofold. It is the idea that everything is inter-connected and inter-dependent, including the view that humans are not only dependent on each other on a physical level, but also on a much deeper level. Oneness can also be seen as a state of consciousness, a state usually described as Enlightenment.
There are many different ways of approaching Oneness, here are a few:

Morphogenetic Fields
Morphogenetic fields are basically non-physical blueprints that give birth to forms.
According to its founder, the biologist Rupert Sheldrake, a morphogenetic field, is an equivalent to an electromagnetic field that carries information only, not energy, and are available throughout time and space without any loss of intensity after they have been created.
Morphogenetic fields are created by the patterns of physical forms. They help guide the formation of later similar systems where a newly forming system "tunes into" a previous system by having within it a "seed" that resonates with a similar seed in the earlier form.
Morphogenetic fields can be used to describe how the human consciousness is shared. The Morphogenetic fields therefore play the main role in the idea that humanity at one point in time will go thru a dramatic collective shift in consciousness. A shift that will happen when the critical mass for a shift is reached, or in other words, when a certain number of spiritually awakened individuals are reached.
Global Consciousness Project
In the laboratory of Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) at Princeton University/USA, research on the topic "mind-machine-interaction" has been ongoing since the late 1970s. As far back as the late 80s, extensive studies proved that diodes with white noise might be used as an interface between man and machine. Since 1998, worldwide about 50 such diodes with white noise have been measuring not only the consciousness of individuals but also the global consciousness of mankind within a study called "Global Consciousness Project". The results have been published and indicate synchronized reaction of all diodes to incidents of worldwide interest such as the war in Iraq, Lady Diana’s funeral or the terrorist attacks of September 11th 2001 on the World Trade Centre in New York.
The Holographic Universe
In 1982 a remarkable event took place. At the University of Paris, a research team led by physicist Alain Aspect performed what may turn out to be one of the most important experiments of the 20th century. You did not hear about it on the evening news. In fact, unless you are in the habit of reading scientific journals you probably have never even heard Aspect's name, though there are some who believe his discovery may change the face of science.
Aspect and his team discovered that under certain circumstances subatomic particles such as electrons are able to instantaneously communicate with each other regardless of the distance separating them. It doesn't matter whether they are 10 feet or 10 billion miles apart. Somehow each particle always seems to know what the other is doing. The problem with this feat is that it violates Einstein's long-held tenet that no communication can travel faster than the speed of light. Since travelling faster than the speed of light is tantamount to breaking the time barrier, this daunting prospect has caused some physicists to try to come up with elaborate ways to explain away Aspect's findings. But it has inspired others to offer even more radical explanations.
The Divine Matrix
Gregg Braden is describing a concept called Divine Matrix, which he defines as a bridge between the inner and outer world, and a mirror of quantum essence. In further describing the matrix, he cites the work of physicist Max Planck who wrote about a non-conventional form of energy from which all physical matter originates. This matrix or field is not something that is "out there" but rather it's the very stuff that is holding us together, says Braden. The universe can be viewed as a massive computer, with our consciousness as the operating system and our emotions/feelings as the software. We each create a feeling in our heart, and like prayer, it can have a direct effect on the planet. Prayer can be most effective if the desired outcome is perceived as having already happened, as this gives the field something to work with, he explains.

The Mayan Calendar "The Mayan Calendar provides an exact schedule for the Cosmic Plan and the unfolding of all things that come into existence. Gaia Hypothesis
The Gaia Hypothesis proposes that our planet functions as a single organism that maintains conditions necessary for its survival. The truly startling component of the Gaia hypothesis is the idea that the Earth is a single living entity with the capacity of self regulation.
What is Deeksha, Oneness Blessing?
Oneness blessing (Deeksha) is the transfer of a universal energy from one person to another. It really isn’t a new phenomenon but rather an ancient practice that due to the current cosmic “window” has become more powerful than ever.
What is the Oneness University and Oneness Temple?
Sri Bhagavan has a vision which first step is the completion of the Shakti Sthal, or Oneness Temple, in Golden City. This is a massive hall constructed according to the Vedic science of sacred geometry, and is being built where certain gridlines on the Earth intersect. Once completed, the dikshas will take place on the upper floor of this hall while the lower floor will be open 24 hours a day for people to sit in meditation. The idea is to have 5000 or more enlightened people meditating here at all times, generating a huge morphogenetic field of enlightenment for the Earth.
What is the purpose behind Global Oneness Community?
The idea with Global Oneness Community is not ONLY to share ideas and thoughts about Oneness, although it is a very good start. The main purpose must by to inspire to action and concrete change, and in itself be a platform to facilitate action and change.
What kind of world do we want to leave to our children? Will it be a world like this:

Thanks for the great introduction. As an agnostic and not of any faith in particular, it is really very refreshing to see this site when all religions can co-exist peacefully and achieve oneness instead of separatedness.

I was a little bit fuzzy on what the Oneness Movement actually was, thanks for clearing everything up for us newcomers. I consider myself an atheist, but I'm tolerant of all religions and races, and enjoy being in the company of like-minded individuals.

Atheist, agnostic, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim or whatever - we are all human beings with a desire to reach for perfection and salvation for religious believers, and all living in the same world.

I see a lot of agnostic people here, but what about the Christians and the Muslims (I am a Christian) who consider themselves as religious people? How do they feel about those verses in the Bible respectively in the Qu'ran, stating that believers of other faiths are banned from heaven, being infidels? How do you interpret that from a unitarian, peace-minded, tolerant point of view?

That's a good point, and though I'm an atheist, but I'd still like to weigh in on your question. I think that it is possible for somebody to believe that, but still be tolerant of other religions. They may believe that you are not going to heaven, but they don't have to do anything about it. Just my two cents, I'm not quite sure how others feel about it.

If you a a Buddhist, you can be genuinely tolerant of other religions or even dieties. But if you are a devout Christian and embraces all the teachings, I am afraid that your mind and soul can have only one Jesus and nothing else.

Can one be considered to be following the Oneness Movement or ideal if you only believe in some of the teachings? I wholeheartedly agree with the following two statements but am uncertain about some things and some of the more esoteric statements I don't believe at all.
