I am a Wiccan by choice. My goddess is Brede. I am also what I call myself as an eclectic, erratic, wiccan. I'm like the Christian that only goes to church when the major holidays are upon them. They go because they feel it is their duty being it's that time of the year. I on the other hand only practice my wiccaness when I am coming into my peak power with the coming of fall.

It's always been my time of the year. I feel more alive and at one with the nature around me. As silly as it may sound I seem to light more candles and incense, think more about my connection with Brede, I feel more connected with the taste, touch, smell, and feel of fall.

A walk in the cold, crisp air of fall as I crunch through leaves under my feet to me is like coming home from a long time away from my best friend. If I'm lucky enough I can hear and see a flock of geese as they wing their way across the sky in a wonderful V formation. I sit and listen to the wind in the trees saying their last good byes before the winter goddess drapes her white blanket of snow over the branches. Oh and yes, I wax more poetic on my prose...lol

It's my time to be one with nature and my one time when my power in all the connections that mean something to me seem to come alive. Does anyone else seem to find a season of the year where it's the better, stronger time of nature's cycle for you?
