In this part of the globe everyone is now constantly talking about the way the weather has changed from not so long ago just last year. This time last year it was raining and how. This year its sunny !
My grandmother says its all changed, hot is cold and cold is hot now.
The younger people I associate with are also different from their seniors of five years ago, more harder not so willing to share or to forgive or accomodate.
I am wondering what it all signifies. Share you thoughts on this.

I'm not sure what you're seeing and experiencing from the "younger people"; I can't say as I have been experiencing that from them. The weather changes you and so many people are seeing and experiencing are part of the cleansing process of the earth and are related to the shift. Each part of the planet is going through its turn and own individual way of cleansing. Where I live, it was Hurricane Rita 3 years ago. Our part of the planet has changed significantly and the energy here is still changing. It was hard to see in the first few days and weeks after the storm, but very quickly it became evident that this area was totally different in its energy. Even people who know nothing about any of this way of thinking, will tell you things are changing and many for the better. Of course there are still those who cling viciously to the old ways and energy, who see any change as bad, but I imagine they will eventually realize life is still good and only getting better. They will just take a bit longer to let go of the old.
Climate change is a very real phenomenon and not necessarily just from global warming. The amount of chemicals that humans have inflicted on Mother Nature are just mind boggling. We've poisoned our water, our soil and our air. As an earlier poster said, she will cleanse herself, one way or the other.
I work with young adults in the age group of 18 to 20 that was who I was referring to as younger people Essence. They certainly make me feel my age alright and I am not that old anyway !
I don't know why but I feel there is a more materialistic approach to life now, which seems to kill all the softness in our nature. this is reflected in Nature.
I think the youth of today are definitely more materialistic than my generation but it's hard to blame them. They are raised with gadgets galore that we didn't have so they take it for granted. Things like cellphones, DVDs, mp3s, etc weren't around when I was that age. Now our youth can't even begin to fathom life without them.

Greetings All,
I just had a thought here. Robin, you said you work with young people between the ages of 18 to 20. These 'young adults' are the age that they would be the children of those who were 'young adults' in the 1980's the decade of the 'Yuppie'. The decade that was all about 'Me and what is in it for Me, and the mindset was all about materialim'. Maybe these beings have grown up being taught this way of thinking. It will be interesting to see what 'they' do with it and how they overcome it.
I grew up during the 80s (was born in the late 70s) and I am happy to say my parents were not materialistic, and I was spared that fate.
Anyway, as for the difference between young people and the rest of us I think has a lot to do with isolation that is aided by electronic and computerized devices. Think of how much tv a child watched 50 years ago, if they even had a set. Now children and teenagers often have tvs in their rooms; and computers, and i-pods, and all sorts of devices that take them away from real-time, real-world, real-people. Even the changes of 5 years you are seeing, I am 5 years older than my brother (well, 4 and half), and he is so much more "plugged-in" than I am, and I'm 31. I know younger people are even more so and I think this has a lot to do with the changes.
It's enough to make me want to take my family and become Amish.
Rhythm I am so with you there. We could certainly learn a thing or two from the Amish. There is an urgent need to reconnect with our earth and realise its worth without crowding in so much of extravagant gadgets.
Maybe this is the answer to global warming.
It is sad that so many of us see the changes to our climate and yet, so many scientists still deny that it exists or that we could have had a hand in it. I think that this is part of the problem-people have an excuse to not take responsibility for it.
As to the hardness, I have seen it too. Young people now are so much more savvi, and they refuse any instruction or direction.
