Cockroach and a Turtle?

Hi.. Im new here and would like to know if anyone can interpret the following dream for me:

I dreamt I went out to a club for a 21st party. At the entrance (inside the club) there lay a massive cockroach. It was about bigger than a large human being (slightly over 2 metres long) but had been decapitated. I stayed in the line for a little while longer but decided to go home. At home I went to visit my sister. In her room was a turtle, which was only about 5 centimetres long. The turtle proceeded to climb up stairs in my sister's room. Once it reached the third step I picked it up, went outside and left it outside on the lush green grass.

I appreciate any help..
Peace!

Turtles are supposed to signify the opportunity for advancement in your life, but also that there might be enemies around. It might be time to start looking at what is going on around you.

Dear member of the festival, This is a very good dream, ( I will explain it briefly for you) first part of your dream signifies, that you should do more learning on subject of spirituality (and please no disrespect, as we can all learn more, always). Also within the next three months of your life, you will actually be of great help to your sister, I cannot be 100% sure as to how you will help her. But your brotherly help will never be forgotten by your sister. This will lead to greatness for you both, as green grass in your dream signifies strength and life energies. So this is my brief analysis of your dream

Re: Cockroach and a Turtle?

Turtle is also the symbol of the earth. There is a lot of new knowledge coming your way on the care and aid to earth issues. Using spirituality to open to this knowledge will take it a long way.

Looking up the meanings of a specific animal helps us decide how we feel about it. Some animals will naturally be repugnant, while we will draw to others. This helps us see them as totems or an animal to learn from in our journey.

A cockroach is a repugnant animal to most of us and it being decapitated was adding to that type of thought. Leaving the scene of its presence is saying what you were seeking was not in that location. When a door closes, a window is seen to open. Be aware that a new window is opening and look for new spirituality.

Re: Cockroach and a Turtle?

Hi, I know u probably are not muslim but i will give you the islamic interpretation of such a dream to the best of my knowledge.

i have a very good book, which does not mention cockraoches specifically but says to see a bug in the house means that person will have a large family. In your case the night club, has a large following. Certain types of bug also represent people of little faith in god. seeing it decpitated i ASSUME would represent the outcome of these people.

Tortoise or Turtle - represents a person devoted to god, bringing one into the house means you will build a strong relationship with such a person. In your case you took him/her out the house.

seeing a turtle on a road or in garbage mean people of that place have little regard for god. However to see turtle in a protected enviroment means the people of that place appreciate and honour knowledge of god/islam.

I assume you would categorise ur sisters room as a protected enviroment. My guess would be that your sister would probably start to get interested in religion (possibly islam) via someone else, and you would not be happy about it.

Re: Cockroach and a Turtle?

Thanks for the replies.. Have been reading around and one of the general meanings for a cockroach is the symbol for family problems.. This ties in with what happened at the time, having one prayers to eradicate the family problems we were having.. Have also read that dreams often have more than one meaning so will give thought to these replies..

Would like to learn more on the subject of spirituality.. Are there any sites or maybe books someone can recommend?

Spiritualism (religion, philosophy, science) is involved with all forms of spirituality:

National Spiritualist Association of Churches National body in the US
Spiritual Wisdom Spiritualism in Canada

There are book lists at both sites recommending many aspects and topics. As spirituality is a large topic with many approaches, any number of books would be a good start to personal growth.

God bless, J

Re: Cockroach and a Turtle?

CuriousGuy,

I don't have anything specific about cockroaches, but bugs represent that discontent and dissatisfaction will arise amoung certain memebers of the household, especially the women. My guess that your sister being part of the dream confirms it is about women in your family. The turtle represents that it will happen over a long period of time.

Re: Cockroach and a Turtle?

would the cockroach being dead and without a head mean that the family problems have ceased to exist?

Maybe....but the turtle means it will happen over a long period of time which leads me to believe it will happen. Maybe some problems have been cut off or come to a head ...not sure...do you have any sense that there maybe problems between the woman in your household(sis/mom..etc?)?
