My Boyfriend being shot in my dream

Hope some1 can help. I dreamt i was about to be hijacked when my boyfriend suddenly protected me by taking me out the car and he jumped into my seat. He got shot 8 times in the head at close range and i watched it happen. i was sadned adn in pain and ran to his and my family to tell them the events but when i got there they already knew and were already in mourning. i still remember the pain. Can any one tell me what this means?
