your interpretation

first a little insight. I was born and raised in oceanside, which is in the southern part of california. Down there, the "punk" scene is really big, and its normal to see people walking around in less the desirable atire. A little over 2 years ago i moved to a small town in nebraska, with a population around 6k, so as you might imagine, im an alien to these people, and the only one of my kind. Late last year, a girl from salt lake city utah, another state rich in punk culture, moved here. I just thought it to be coincidence and didnt think too much of it. Now, all i know about her is, her first name, and the people she hangs out with, whom i dont personally know, i just know who they are. Ive never actually had the opportunity to introduce myself, and im not that kind of guy to walk up to strangers.

Now the dream. I was invited to a party by a friend, and decided to go. The location of the party is completely unfamiliar to me, and once i got there, the house was also unfamiliar. While walking up to the house, people were lighting off fireworks, i spotted the girl and she pointed a roman candle type firework at me, she lit it, but nothing fired, and she laughed like it were a joke. I walked over to her and started talking, and it was as if we've known each other for years. Basically we just hung out, drank, and talked for the a while. After a few hours of this, we went our seperate ways at the party and did our own thing, but she seemed to always pop up wherever i was at the time. After this, the dream gets blurry, but a few details stand out, such as the time, the music, and drink. From what i can recall, my friend who invited me, and the girl are the only two people i can distinguish, and everyone, even the others i talked to are faceless.

What are your interpretations on this?

Since you use the word "alien" in your description of yourself, I would venture to say that you feel somewhat isolated from the rest of the people around you. After seeing this new person who is similar to you, your subconscious mind is drawn to her as someone you can be comfortable with and not feel like you are different.

I will say that, this is rather a good dream. As gathering is always well, always. Also I will say that even though you say you have not introduced yourself as yet, I believe this will happen very soon, But you need to make your move, as she is surrounded by negative people (people who are judging kind) so do so make your move. Also the friend who invited you to the party in your dream might have some part to play with in this new friendship between you and the girl.

Also I like to add this personal point of view to you. Lets say when everyone is going in the same direction then all of a sudden an individual who decides to go in a different direction is seen as 'WRONG'. The other direction might be the BETTER one - but still it is seen as WRONG.
As you see that is unfortunately the culture you and I live in. So knowing this LIVE your OWN PATH. and disregard those who judge, as simply blind people, who really haven't learned to JUST BE.
