I have dreams every night and remember and feel every detail. They are very detailed and are always in color. They are usually stupid and have nothing to do with anything...for example...Driving around in a beat up car with someone I know looking for a blue toothbrush (or what ever) and I remember every person we talk to along the way and every stop light, etc... I am also able to direct my dreams because I know that I'm dreaming. I have always been this way and am in my senior years. I can also make myself feel like I am outside of myself and can feel nothing. I do this frequently just to make sure I can still do it, and can only do it when lying on my back. If I twitch a finger or toe, it's all over and all feeling comes rushing back. I am concious when I do this and it works every time. To my knowledge, I have never sleep walked. I have 3 brothers and all of us are able to witch water which is how we found the wells when we were kids. One brother has made a business out of it for the last 40 years and drills water wells all over his area. My Mother had prophetic dreams and they were always very vivid. Is it normal for a child to inherit these characteristics or does each person develop them as a result of environment? I don't think my brothers dream the way I do. None of my children dream this way and one of them never remembers dreams. Does anyone else dream every night and remember every last detail, even a week later?
Wow... you really do have some natural psychic talent and I am glad that you could share your experiences with us here. Having out of body experiences is very common, though it sounds as if you do this exceptionally well and with conscious direction, which I find pretty amazing. I do not have any remarkable or out of the ordinary dream experiences so it is nice to hear from someone who does. Also, your witch water ability is absolutely fascinating.
Children can definitely inherit these characteristics though not always. Sometimes it can be a result of the child's early environment, in which it encouraged and nurtured such abilities in the child rather than dismissed them, as is most often the case.
are you a man or a woman? I got the sense that you may be a man, but that just may mean the sceptic tone of your post, a male trait.
Do not ever doubt abilities that are natural inclinations of your own unique mind. However, they cannot be your brothers. Your brothers gift is his, and his alone. The fact that all of you felt his power as he was doing this, and he has been sucessful at it for the last 40 years may drive your consciouseness in the dreaming state to seek your own divine and mind powered gifts.
It seems that powers and the abilities of the mind do run in your family, however realisze that not everyone in a family has the same intensity of gift. Natural gifts can be honed and sharpened with use and conditioning but only to a certain point. ALl powers have limitations, else we would all be gods and godesses, and in no need of silly things like money, housing, jobs or families. God-moding dreams are common amung poeple who wish to be the equal of a sucessful sibling or parent, and I see some of these elements, although extremely faint, they are there in the content of your dreams.
THe sensation of out of body experiences, and floating above ones own body, and being able to remove oneself seeminlgy from ones own body is extremely common, and not at all unusual. \
It has clear medical interpretations, which range from sleep apnea, to poor circulation, to pinched nerves, and jammed up muscles. WHen you lie down, you feel dizzy, then when you close your eyes and concentrate you seem to float away far away, out of your body. THis is common in some poeple with apnea, or poor circulation, or muscle spasms, or arthritix. WHen you prepare to do this, you are actually relaxing your body. THe release of "feel-good" hormones when you do this, as well as the release of pressure on nerveds, bones, joints and muscles when one relaxes can cause these exact sensations.
Dreaming vividly in color, and being able to relate everything and every detail, shows a full, active and creative mind, bent towards the artistic, and fantastic. Where would we be without steven spielbergs dreams and visions? THese are creative gifts and should be followed.
Someitmes for an active and engaged mind, the flood of media we have before our eyes every day gets burned into our eyeballs, and is simply released in a barrage of garbage that is "deleted" trhough our dreaming state. Once dreamed, these things can be let go with a chuckle, and a wave of the hand.
Others may have a serious prophetic message.
My advice, is to try and wake up, and write everything down on a pad of paper. THe next few days, put it all out, write it out thoroughly, then wait about a month or so and reread it. Messages, ideas, will come out more clearly for you.
