Recurring Dreams Of An Old Friend

I lost touch with a close friend of mine about a year and a half ago. We still live in the same area, but she got married (sort of on a whim) and we really haven't seen each other since shortly before her wedding.
For the past couple of weeks, I have been dreaming almost every night of her. Usually we're just visiting each other at our houses or going somewhere that we used to frequent.
The last dream I had about her involved me going to her house. After being there a while, I realized that her husband (who I've never met) wasn't around. When I asked about him, she burst into tears and told me that he married her for monetary reasons and that she had made a huge mistake in marrying him. I comforted her in the dream and reassured her that I would be there to support her in the coming time.

I sort of feel like I should contact her and "check" on her.
What do you think?

I certainly think you should go ahead and make contact with your old friend. A year and a half is a long time and to suddenly connect with someone even in your dreams it could be that you need each other.
There have been instances when I have just suddenly in the middle of something remembered someone and felt I ought to reach out to them the feeling is so strong.

I guess I am wondering if the sudden marriage of your friend made the two of you have a falling out of sorts. It seems to me that the dream itself would indicate that you had been concerned that this man was marrying your friend for monitary reasons right from the beginning. You should contact your friend and set up a time where the two of you can meet at the place you used to frequent just to talk and catch up on things. She probably needs you right now.

Thank you so much for your replies! I will contact her as soon as my hectic work schedule allows me to have some time.

It wasn't so much her marriage that caused us to have a falling out or anything. We were close, she met a guy, and we drifted apart a little (as is common when we fall in love!) and the next thing I heard, she had "run off and gotten married" (her words, not mine). I had texted her after not hearing from her for about 3 months or so and she told me then that she had married. I haven't heard from her and I haven't contacted her since.

This is rather a striking dream I think and it speaks volumes of your fears for her. I hope that she is ok and that she can maybe open up to you.
