strange scary dreams

hi i have had a couple of dreams in the last few months about a friend not a close friend although we had a few dates about 28 years ago.i last had contact with him 6 years ago as a friend. in my first dream he was hovering in front of me but he was dead and i was so scared by this dream i went to see if he was ok and thank god he was we had a chat he told me he had been married for 4 months to a lady he had been with for 6 years i then wished him well and left in my second dream he was with his mother leaning over a coffin and in the coffin was the body of his father who was a pilot in my dream[ bearing in mind i do not know anything about his father at all ] and in my dream he is asking his mother if i can go to the funeral as my friend knew me. in these dreams its like iam on the outside looking in can anyone explain what these dreams maybe about
