Dreams About Death

What do you think that dreams about death mean? Do you think that it literally translates to something directly related to death? I've had a dream about a friend dying two times in the last week. I have noticed that my friend and I spend a lot less time together than before. Do you think that this new wall building between us could be the reason for this? Is it a symbol of a dying relationship, or something else?

I have had dreams of death in the past but not for a long time. Each time was either after a scare (with someone I care about having a brush with death) or at a particular low point in my life. In my case, at least, it seems to be my own fear of death and dying that triggers this type of dream.

dear kindred soul, although dreams must be analyzed thoroughly through the explaination of whole dream as one, meaning everything seen everything heard, everything felt, etc.
but one thing is clear from what you have mentioned in your post
= your friends thoughts are very strong towards you and you and this friend will know one another for life, also death in a dream may i repeat may mean a long life, i believe the person who died or was departed, will have a long life,
but this is the best i can do gievn the little info about thewhole dream

Hello Sabrina, when it comes to the dreams about death, I think if you tend to see the person dying directly in your dream it is generally said that their life time is increased and some unknown trouble is being overcome. Well, this is a general saying in my home country. I too had 2 dreams of this kind and both the times it were my friends death but they were out of some trouble the minute I had that dream.

I would have to ask-do you currently have issues with the relationship? Are you currently experiencing a lack of contact with the person, or something else that might reflect the 'dying' of the friendship?

When you dream about death your standing in the doorway to choose a new direction or new way of living etc. don´t stop yourself!. Just do it! Good luck! Ewa
