I think that everybody has their own interpretation on what the actual meaning of life is, so I'd like to hear yours. Why do you think that we are on this earth, or is there a reason?
I believe that there is a meaning but that it is different for each one of us. I haven't fully discovered my personal meaning yet (part of the reason I am here). Life is too rich to be all their is - I believe that our souls live forever in one form or another.
I am not sure that there really is a meaning to life. I think that we have a purpose, but I don't think that it necessarily means that there is a meaning to humans being on Earth other than because a higher being decided to get creative.
I think we are all here to gain some knowledge and learn from our mistakes and others to not continue to repeat the same ones over again. The more we learn, the more we can better ourselves, those around us and the things around us too.
I'm not really sure of what is the purpose or meaning for my life. I don't know at times I just feel may be I should have been in a place where I can just happen to meditate and feel like to experience the beauty of God's creation. I might sound different but that is my feeling, though I have responsibilities now, some how feel it might have been different. I might be into service trying to help out all those in need of physical help, rather than monetary.
Even though I'm not so sure what my purpose it yet, I have always believed that our purpose and the meaning of life go hand in hand. I feel God put all of us here for a certain purpose. It is up to us to listen to Him and learn what that purpose is. Then it is also our choice as to whether we fullfill that purpose or not in the amount of time we have here on Earth. Some may have very significant purposes to be leaders and some may have a purpose that others may not see as very important. But I do believe we all have a purpose that is predetermined by God and it is very important in His eyes.
I think our souls are each a facet of Gaia.
Somehow we have ended up inhabiting the bodies of a race of animals created by the Anunaki many thousands of years ago when they first colonised this planet.
Just like Wolves have become dogs, Orangutans have become humans.
According to the KJV Scriptures; The reason for life, is to find truth; The Book of Daniel, tells the reason as; turning wonders into wisdoms, then will it be that all man problems will be over.
DANIEL 12:6. And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
The answer
12:17...............It shall be time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
Which leaves one question to be answered! Times, Time, and Half a Time. One of the most misunderstood and misinterpreted time periods to be found in scripture is the time, times and half a time which is mentioned in Daniel and ...

Truth is very...very relative though.
One person's truth is another's propaganda.
The Christian bible has been re-written so many times to suit the age in which it was taught in schools... well never know the truth of the original...which would've just been too much truth for staid Victorians.
They've all been burnt now though....so we'll never know.
I went to Sunday School, and was taught by Jesuit priests at Grammar School...and they always looked a bit misty-eyed and 'out-there' to me.
I dont know how you define truth, I have never left the original KJV after taking a refresher in middle English syntax, and grammer, The truth I seek; That which never changes untill it is found, and then everything may be changed.
As far as what some organized religion has interpreted it to mean, is of no interest to me. For religion has interpreted the old to fit their private interpretation, lets face it human wisdom has not increased in 2000 years of starting a New Year, with their same old set of wornout resolutions; then going back to christmas, to start up another new year to do the same thing all over again.
