I have been reading and following this thread for quite some time. And what I have found interesting is that I can and do agree with each and every person who has posted here to some degree or another. Strange how that can be..!
I also have to admit, I steered away from adding to this post for a long time. I guess simply because the human being that I am now was brought up to steer away from the controversial subjects of religion and politics…But, since this site is sort of along those lines I guess I might as well jump in with both feet…..lol
As I’ve been reading this thread, this is what your words have made me think of.
If ‘God’ is everything…then isn’t ‘God’ all the ideas, concepts, truths, and any other word you would like to use or attach to this thought we call GOD? I mean every dogmatic belief system; every quote... free-thinking…unquote, belief system and everything in between says that ‘God’ is in everything. So what are they truly arguing over? Seems to me they are only arguing over CONTROL of the same side of the coin. Even those that espouse the idea of ‘No God’: what have they to argue about? And what would they ascend too? If they truly believe there is nothing… then there is nothing for them to ascend too.
And all the others whom DO believe there is ‘God’ in some form or other, why do they argue with those who say they don’t believe in ‘God’? Once again, if ‘God is Everything then she/he/it/they/them/us also encompasses ‘Nothing’: the void. Holy Books the planet over preach, lecture and advocate their ‘God’ to be All Encompassing; the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the All and the Nothing.
And Kingskid…..first of all, I would like to welcome you to the site. Glad you found your way here. I have been reading your posts and enjoy them.
Now, with that said, I would ask: worship of god? I know I’m going way out on the thin part of the limb with this; you know the place where one can easily be knocked off? lol…I’ll just try and brace myself for the fall…..no pun intended! As one brought up in a very strict Christian family and home, I know what I am about to say would be considered blasphemy to many, but believe me when I say I do not mean it that way nor do I intend it to be disrespectful to anyone in any way…. But maybe we/humans have or are beginning to outgrow this idea. Why does 'God' need or want to be worshipped? If we/everything in the Universe is a spark of the Divine Creator then wouldn’t we, as awakened beings simply be worshipping ourselves? I agree we should have respect for, love for and compassion for everyone and everything, (compassion with detachment; another conversation all together) but I think it may be time to give up the whole concept of worshipping something outside of ourselves as a factor in saving us from some mal-perceived imperfection. In fact the whole concept of ‘Worship’ may be outdated. Hasn’t the concept and practice of ‘worship’ brought us as a species and the planet much misery? Maybe it’s time to try and look to what lies beyond ‘worship’. I may be wrong, I’ve been wrong before, many times, but this is at least something I think possibly we should begin to look at.
Now, back to the word CONTROL…..CONTROL of what?
What could be so important, so all inspiring that controlling it becomes the most important need on this planet? I would venture to say even in our Universe.
The only thing I can think of that Beings the Universe over would expend so much energy on controlling is just that………ENERGY!!!
Quite honestly, if everything (“GOD” included) is only energy, then energy is all there is to fight about controlling!
My question around the fight for control of energy is why fight for it when there is an infinite supply which we can tap into? You may say, ‘well, there is only a finite supply of energy; the amount that was created at the beginning of our Universe, (at least that is what some arms of science would teach) that is why the fight for the control of it’. But I would answer, this cannot be true.
If ‘God’ is infinite… and ‘God’ is energy, because energy is all there is, then the source of energy has to be infinite also.
These are just my thoughts on the topic of this thread.

Ah, therein lies the rub. There are some people who believe their happiness lies in abusing and using up other people - whether it is children or someone weaker than themselves. They feel justified in seeking their happiness in the activities of abuse.
While I believe we are here to find our own happiness - this would have to include some form of restraint on the truly negative activities of the bullies and abusers of our world.
