What would you say to God?

If you came home from work and discovered that God was sitting on the couch just waiting to hear what YOU have to say, what would you say to to God?

LOL!! Yes, why not, it's great! It may not be my intuitive reaction, but I really love the feeling of your answer!!

Re: What would you say to God?

I would ask what He wanted me to be doing for Him. I would ask what would make things right for a bad situation that my family and I are currently facing, and whether my child will be ok.

Re: What would you say to God?

I have a feeling I would be the type to ask him/her if they wanted to play 20 questions. Mostly me asking you know since God is set to be all knowing anyways.

Re: What would you say to God?

If I found that there was a God and I could ask him anything I wanted, I would ask him what he wants me to do in my life. What goals does he have in mind for me, and is there anything I can do to live my life better.

Re: What would you say to God?

Personally I believe there is a God or Higher Being, regardless of what we choose to call Him. If I were blessed enough to meet him prior to my time here on earth ending, then I don't believe I would have to ask him anything, his presence alone would indicate my shortcomings and areas of improvement needed. I think we all in our hearts know what we can do to make this life worth living and give meaning to it. Meeting him would be just a nudge/push or an affirmation to continue on the path we have laid out for ourselves and acknowledging the old saying. "We never walk alone".

Re: What would you say to God?

I guess when that happens and I know that it's God in front of me, I wouldn't say anything rather watch him and fill his presence in my heart. If he leaves too I wouldn't mind to send him as I would feel his presence inside me ever. But, generally when I visit a temple unknowingly tears role out of my eyes watching the idol in front of me, not sure why is that so.

Re: What would you say to God?

Oh my! That is a very, very deep question!? I think I would have so many questions to ask! I would probably start with thanking God for creating me and and my animals. Then my questions would start. Why oh why is our society such a complicated mess right now? I seem to recall the many discussions I would have with my grandparents (now both deceased) describing how life was when they were young and when they were adults. People actually liked each other!? Doors were left unlocked. Everyone said, "please" and "thank you". There wasn't the amount of crime there is today. Children weren't killing children. You worked a 30 to 40 hour work week and didn't feel the need to run each other off the road to get to the office each day. Road rage didn't exist. Child abuse was not the corporal punishment it is today. You spanked your naughty child and they learned a lesson and probably didn't do that wrong again. Mom was at home with her children and cooked homemade meals every day. Today, it's typically a greasy hamburger sitting in the nearest drive-thru. Why God? What happened to life being good and simple and pure? I wish I lived in my granparents era. It seemed so much more simple.

Re: What would you say to God?

Its funny you should have asked that question; for when I met with a firm compprehension of What The Father is, I followed his words.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if you continue in my word, then are ye my people indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. [JOHN 8:31-32.]

Let no man deceive himself if any man among you seemeth(thinks himself) to be wise in this world, let him become(admit to being) a fool, that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written he taketh the wise in their own craftyness. [I CORINTHIANS 3:18-19.]

Following his words, I prayed

"Father forgive me; for I am a fool, who knows not what I do!"

For I had realized the Truth of;

Where ignorence is bliss; It is folly to be wise!
I could have added; so I think I'll do it Now: "Father! When all men realise, and admit, "the wisdom of this world", is in Truth! Foolishness; Then alone shall foolishness end!
