The community isn’t really launched yet with any kind of marketing but it is already some 250 members!! That’s really great!


New profile pages
Before launch there are some things that still has to be done. First of all it is the member profile pages that will undergo a total overhaul and then functionality for social networking. It will be really great! Promise!


What forums?
The whole structure of different forums is not thought thru yet; what forums and sub-forums should it be? I’m for example thinking about having a forum for “Remote Deeksha Request”, where people needing a deeksha can ask for it and those giving remote deeksha can confirm when they will give one. Would that be a good idea? What else is needed?

Questions
There will soon be both general ("global") and local hosted forums where you can ask questions about local events and use your own local language. As for now, if you have any question (local or general) please post them here (in English); General Questions, I will make sure to bring in the right person to answer the question, but also, feel free to help anyone having a question, maybe you have the answer!

Avatar and profile picture
The functionality for uploading avatar and profile picture hasn’t worked completely but it is in order now. Please go here: Edit Avatar and upload a picture; either of yourself or a symbolic picture if you don’t want to show your face. It would be nice with real pictures but it’s absolutely OK if you prefer a symbolic avatar instead.

For you convenience there will be a collection of pictures in the Photo Gallery that can be used for Avatars. If you would like an Aum picture as avatar, you will find almost 300 very beautiful Aum pictures;



How to do it? The easiest way is just to choose a picture that you already have on your computer or to download one from the Internet (for example one of the Aum pictures). Go to Edit Avatar, click on “Browse” and find the picture you have downloaded to your computer and it is done. You don’t have to think about the pictures size, it is taken care of automatically.

(The so called “Avatar” is the picture that appears in connection with your postings. It doesn’t have anything to do with the vedic word “avatar”, it’s just the term used in forums...)


Pictures
You are very welcome to upload your own pictures. Go here User Albums and click on “Create a New Album”. Then just follow the instructions. If you have any problems, please ask for help here; Support .

Where you or anyone you know at the Opening of the Oneness Temple? If so please upload pictures or tell your friend to do that!!! Many, many people wants to see pictures from that! There are a few here; Oneness Temple Consecration, but it would be great with many more!



Blog
It will be much better integrated with the User page soon, but please start blogging! You will find the admin for your blog here: Blog settings, where you can set different preferences. To the left under "Blog control panel" you have link called "Your blog", click on that one and start blogging!
