Tantric CelibacyTantric Celibacy: Going
All the Way With Tantric Celibacy
Tantric
yoga, as a system of rituals, exercises, and philosophical teachings, was
developed over the past 2,500 years in a practical search for profound feeling
and awareness. Just as a modern scientist might spend years on a single
research problem, tantric yogis might dwell on a certain feeling for hours a
day, plumbing its every nuance and what it told them about existence. They
became experts in the arts of feeling and concentration.

| | | | Flower Essences: Universal Fellowship Through Bhakti Marga
Bhakti is founded in a spirit of universal fellowship and poetry is one more expression of this same fellowship. The verses of Mirabai, Tulsidas, Kabir, Ravidas and Tukaram are quoted frequently by people from all strata of life. Their poetry expresses concern about life: its difficulties, the loneliness, hypocrisy and pain. The bhakti poets seek God's help to sustain them on this difficult journey. So even today, through their poetry, the bhakti saints continue to influence our daily lives.

| | | | Flower Essences: Thinking It Through, You Can Be Happy
A young boy went to a guru and asked him how he could find God. The guru realised that the boy had spiritual leanings but was far too young to be educated in the abstract knowledge of the Vedas and the Upanishads . He asked the boy who he loved the most. The boy replied: "My calf. I play with him all the time. He is my companion". The guru asked the boy to meditate on the calf. After a few months when the guru went to meet the young disciple, he found him crying. "I am losing my mind", he said. "The calf has become so small that it sits on my palm". The guru advised the disciple to continue meditating on the calf.

| | | | | Flower Essences: A Prison of Our Own Making
Every one of us is pre-programmed, in accordance with the culture, family, society or religion we are born into and grow up with. Most of us are indifferent to the fact that we operate with little awareness. So we end up living in a self-made prison. We have to learn the art of inner separation and not allow inner thoughts and attitudes of negativity to eat into our lives. Negative, ignorant, addictive, narrow, foolish 'I's eat our life forces just as rats eat crops. Some 'I's in us are our friends and some, our enemies. To recognise and de-identify ourselves with the negative 'I's is 'inner separation'.

| | | | | | Flower Essences: The Ultimate Joy Is Inner Growth
Why do sad people attract sad incidences in life? Why do happy people attract happy situations in life? Depending on what state of being we are, we attract situations. We have to focus on heightening our state of being rather than changing situations in life. If our state of being is low, then the external situation, even though sacred, will be pulled down to our level of being. For example, a poor man in a palace will make the palace into a gutter.

The Flow of SomaSoma and
Ananda
The Vedic
ritual reaches its climax in the Soma offering, in which specially prepared
plant juices are offered into the sacred fire (Agni) as the drink of the Gods.
But this ancient ritual reflects a deeper internal ritual or alchemy of
awareness that is its real import. In exploring this process, we will discover
many secrets of the practice of Yoga, including the path of Self-inquiry or

BACH FLOWER REMEDIES: Bach flower remedies are a set of 38 different herbal remedies (plus one combination remedy) made from the specially prepared, "potentized" essence of the petals and heads of flowers. Each essence is made from a particular type of flower and preserved in unflavored brandy to prevent spoilage. Bach flower remedies are non-toxic, non-addictive, and utilize the mood-altering properties of the plants to harmonize and balance emotional sensitivities. The remedies act as catalysts to alleviate the underlying causes of stress.

| | | | | Flower Essences: History of BuddhismThe history of
Buddhism spans from the 6th century BCE to the present,
starting with the birth of the Buddha Siddharta
Gautama. This makes it one of the oldest religions practiced
today. Throughout this period, the religion evolved as it encountered various
countries and cultures, adding to its original Indian foundation Hellenistic as well as Central Asian, East Asian, and Southeast Asian cultural elements. In the process, its geographical extent became
considerable so as to affect at one time or another most of the Asian
continent. The history of Buddhism is also characterized by the development of numerous
movements and schisms, foremost among them the Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana traditions, punctuated by
contrasting periods of expansion and retreat.
