Religion - Laya Yoga Laya Yoga - The
Essence Of All Religion
Yoga is the essence of
every religion and is that what all religions have in common. If a man really
wants to go deeply into the mystical and spiritual essence of their religion,
then he or she comes to practise yoga. We say that yoga is not a religion in a
sense of an individual creed or a sect separating from others, we also say that
yoga is the substance and profundity of every religion and its inner cult. That
is why one can be a member of every religious society and practise yoga. Two
rules, or if one prefers, two commandments present in all scriptures such as
Veda, Koran or the Bible are as if two angelic, divine wings of the Laya Yoga
training. " Be holy because I am Holy" and " Be
so perfect as your Heavenly Father is" these are the signs of an
authentic, spiritual path of universal life.

Allure of TantraThe
Allure of Tantra
Perhaps nothing is more exotic, dramatic and sensational in
IndiaÕs Yoga traditions than is the practice of Tantra. No other approach to
Yoga has gained such a fascination for the modern mind and its seeking of the
bizarre, the entertaining and the enigmatic.
Tantra appears to offer both spiritual and worldly success
to a superlative degree. It covers not only internal yogic experiences of
chakras, lokas and deities, but also has many important healing practices for
body and mind. Most notably, it offers special means of heightening sexual
pleasure, making money, gaining recognition and defeating oneÕs enemies - with Tantric methods
available for achieving all human desires. There is in Tantra something for
everyone, especially those who may be put off by ascetic or renunciate
approaches to the spiritual life such as seem to dominate most of the rest of
the Yoga tradition.

| | | | Flower Essences: The Purpose of
Buddhist PrayerThe Purpose of Buddhist Prayer
Buddhist prayer is a practice to awaken our inherent inner
capacities of strength, compassion and wisdom rather than to petition external
forces based on fear, idolizing, and worldly and/or heavenly gain. Buddhist
prayer is a form of meditation; it is a practice of inner reconditioning.
Buddhist prayer replaces the negative with the virtuous and points us to the
blessings of Life.

Effect of Thought on Health and the BodyDisease
and health, like circumstances, are rooted in thought. Sickly thoughts will
express themselves through a sickly body. Thoughts of fear have been known to
kill a man as speedily as a bullet, and they are continually killing thousands
of people just as surely though less rapidly. The people who live in fear of
disease are the people who get it. Anxiety quickly demoralizes the whole body,
and lays it open to the entrance of disease, while impure thoughts, even if not
physically indulged, will soon shatter the nervous system.

| | | | | Flower Essences: Illusion And Reality
Non-dualism is the highest Vedantic truth. Only Brahman exists. The pluralistic world as we experience it is merely a figment of the imagination. An illusion. At the highest level Vedanta does not encourage any discussion on the nature of the world and its cause. That would merely be emphasising the reality of something which does not exist. It focuses on the direct experience of Reality.

| | | | Flower Essences: Spiritual Evolution Is The Key To Salvation
In a conversation with his consort Parvati, Shiva is believed to have said that through self-knowledge, one can attain salvation. People are born as human beings due to their past good samskaras, but to attain liberation they will have to attain self-knowledge. In ancient times, Parvati symbolised the spirit of enquiry. She would pose questions to Shiva, and Shiva's answers provided deep insight into the nature of spirituality. Parvati's questions are collectively known as the Nigama shastra. Shiva's answers are philosophical; they are also of great practical value.

| | | | Flower Essences: Universal Faith for World Harmony
Vision is the ability to see beyond the present; to be able to chart a map of the future. Is such a vision possible for a universal religion? When all technologies and knowledge in the world are converging, why should humanity have different religions? One basic question has haunted us for long: Are the many religions of the world opposed to each other? If their common goal is universal welfare, why do we need so many religions? All religions echo the need for righteous conduct, truth and non-violence. But they differ in their rituals, which are unfortunately being projected today as their core. Dress, mode of worship and language of rituals have come to symbolise purity of faith.

Alternative
Health Dictionary on Chinese medicine
Chinese medicine (Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM): Ancient holistic system whose basics include herbology, nutrition, and the concepts of acupuncture meridians, the Five Elements (Five Phases), and yin and yang. Traditional Chinese Medicine theory posits both Organs (the Triple Burner, for example) and Substances (such as Shen, or Spirit) for which scientific evidence is absent. Variations and hybrids of Chinese medicine include Korean medicine, Tibetan medicine, and Vietnamese traditional medicine. Chinese medicine probably originated about 2,000 years ago, but it became dogmatic and stagnated for centuries; overall its development has been slow. It probably stems from shamanism. The basis of Chinese medicine is Taoism, a religion according to which spirits (shen) inhabit the human body and take care of its functions. The foundational text of Chinese medicine - known as the Classic of Internal Medicine, the Huangdi Neijing, the Inner Classic, the Inner Classic of the Yellow Emperor, the Neiching, the Nei Jing, The Yellow Emperor's Classic, The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, and the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon - was completed by the first century C.E.

| | | | | Flower Essences: Orient Your Life Towards Peace
The spiritual approach to peace-making is radically different from the worldly approach, said Jesus Christ. In the worldly approach, both peace and war are driven by vested interests - so the one is indistinguishable from the other. Wars, St Augustine warns us in The City of God, are waged mostly in the name of peace. The road to peace is truly simple: Make peace politically profitable and war-mongering politically costly. There should be a constructive collaboration between democracy and spirituality.

Feng Shui and QiFeng Shui Giving Us Direction
In Taoist thought, everything is made of qi or
energy. In modern terms, this is a perspective of the laws of nature which
views our world as made of multiple energy phases or magnetic patterns.
Consequently, everything around us has the potential to affect our well-being.
Qi is the energy that gives us life, that makes rivers flow and plants grow. Qi
is our spirit, our emotions, our subconscious, our creative intellect. Imagine
if you could see all the wavelengths of light from ultra-violet to infra-red,
you would see that qi is everywhere. It is in the chair you are sitting in, it
is in the words you are reading, flowing in the space around you. Qi is the
essence of existence.

| | | | Flower Essences: Qi - Light and ColorQi - Light and Color
In the Taoist philosophy of feng shui,
everything is made of energy or qi. Qi is categorized into the Five Elements
which is also known by their colors: earth is yellow; fire is red; water is
black; wood is green; and metal is white. The names for different colors are a
convention for people to refer to different wavelengths of light. Adhering to
this mode of thought, everything is made of a variation of light energy or
color.

healing?Organic Gardening
What has organic gardening to do with spiritual healing? Allow me a few
moments of your time and I shall tell you. A centre such as we are developing
will be a place of tranquillity, comfort and revival, both spiritual and
physical. I suppose this could be achieved without the benefit of nature on the
doorstep but nature itself is a healer, and can offer so much to the troubled
spirit. Let us take a stroll through a year in the garden of our healing
centre, where visitors will be encouraged to enjoy their surroundings as much,
or as little, as they so desire.

Universal Life Force and a system of natural healing that channels Reiki
