Feng Shui

A resource on Feng Shui

Feng Shui

Feng Shui is the art of placement - a guiding philosophy to bring harmony by looking at our environments and how the balance of energies can affect every part of life.
All we are and do is connected to the environment, Mother Earth and Chi, the natural Order or Energy which permeates the universe.

Feng Shui is a science incorporating astronomy, geography, the environment, the magnetic fields and physics. Feng Shui is not a religion or superstition - modern science has proven it to be a complex mathematical system.

Using the Nine Star Chart that indicates annual planetary cycles and their effect on her home's energy, I recommend that she move her bed so that she faces west. She should also convert her dining area in the southwest into a work area. Put yellow sunflowers here or cover the table with a white or yellow cloth to stimulate the earth frequencies here for prosperity. At the entry area, she should try to let in more western light by opening the door or windows and put yellow flowers at the door."

Feng Shui: Encyclopedia II - HSBC Hong Kong headquarters building - History

The first HSBC (then known as the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank) building was built in 1886 on the present site. It was demolished and rebuilt in 1935; for a period of time after completion it had been the tallest building between San Francisco and Cairo. By the 1970s the bank had outgrown its headquarters; departments were scattered into offices all over Central Hong Kong, and it was obvious that such a "solution" to the space limitations could not continue indefinitely. In 1978 the ...
