Fear: Past Life or Attached Entity? - Five Diagnostic Keys

The techniques of past life therapy have been proven effective for many specific conditions. Still, there are cases where results just don't seem to develop in the course of good therapeutic practice. In these cases, the reason may be that we are not using the right tool for the job. The client will locate the real source of a condition if the therapist asks the right questions.

Fear: Marrying Science And Spirituality

Both science and spirituality need to work together to understand total reality. In the Gita, Krishna says: ''It is the knowledge of matter with its evolutes and the spirit which I consider as wisdom’’ (13.2). Bertrand Russell wrote: ''Unless man increases in wisdom as much as in knowledge, increase of knowledge will only be increase of sorrow.’’

Science is limited to the outer, physical world of objects. 'Veda’ deals with knowledge of both the outer (physical) and inner (psycho-spiritual) worlds. Vedas have a larger connotation as they stand for eternal truths.

Fear: God and I by Iravati Harshe

A personal reflektion on God By Iravati Harshe. ”God for me means love and light. I do believe in God but I’m not particularly orthodox in matters of religion. Certain habits which I imbibed from my mother, I'm grateful for and these remain a part of my life to date - rituals like lighting a diya every morning and reciting the shlokas . I remember as a child, I had a lot of fears and I believed God was my rescuer.”

Fear: Healer, Heal Thy Self

Many healing practitioners have shared with me their bewilderment over assuming illnesses or conditions from their clients, especially when they truly felt that their intentions were of loving service to another. Why would a healer or anyone become ill through healing others?

Fear: Encyclopedia II - Eye contact - The role of eye contact in facilitating the expression of emotions

Eye contact and facial expressions provide key social and emotional information; we continually probe each other's eyes and faces for positive or negative mood signs. The eyes have often been described as the "windows of the soul", and in some contexts, gazing at another's eyes may arouse strong emotions. Eye contact - Love and attraction. Lovers often gaze into each other's eyes for extended periods of time to show and [nonverbal communication] exp ...

Fear: Encyclopedia - Panic

Panic is a sudden fear which dominates or replaces thinking and often affects groups of people or animals. Panics typically occur in disaster situations, and may endanger the overall health of the affected group. The word panic derives from the name of the Greek god Pan, who strikes fear into the enemies of His subjects. Prehistoric man used mass panic as a weapon when hunting animals, especially ruminants. Herds reacting to unusually strong sounds or unfamiliar visual effects were directed towards cliffs, where they eve ...

Fear: Healing the Shadow and the Mirror of Relationship

Whatever else you say about emotions and feelings, you have to admit that you just "wouldn't be your self" (little 's') without your own, familiar feelings. That's why we think we're going crazy or becoming "possessed" when unfamiliar or "out of character" emotions or reactions show up in our lives. However, there is another, more positive way to look at these disturbing occurrences. Remember that anything that feels like it isn't "you" must be a part of your shadow, and when parts of your shadow start to show up in your "self's" experience, this is HEALING.

Epiphany: Amid darkness, light

There's a temptation to feel a little bit of a letdown this time of year, even after a really great holiday season. And there's unrest in many places vying for center stage on news broadcasts around the world. Not all the darkness is outside; our hearts have been touched and saddened.

Fear: Encyclopedia II - Panic - Panic and the law

Most jurisdictions limit the freedom of speech in order to deter people from creating potentially dangerous panic situations, especially a false alarm (the classic example is shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theatre when in fact nothing is burning). Some criminal defendants attempt to evade or reduce the severity of their conviction by claiming their violence was induced by a sense of panic. Certain jurisdiction may limit punishment in case one's actions for self-defence were exce ...

Fear: Encyclopedia II - Sigmund Freud - Freud's legacy

Sigmund Freud - Psychotherapy. Freud trained as a medical doctor, and as such, he believed his research methods and conclusions were scientific. However, his research and practice were condemned by many of his peers, as well as later psychologists and academics. Some, like Juliet Mitchell, have suggested that this is because his basic claim, that many of our conscious thoughts and actions are motivated by unconscious fears and desires, implicitly challenges universal and objective claims about the world (some pro ...

Fear: Encyclopedia II - Guilt - Causes of guilt

Some thinkers have theorized that guilt is used as a tool of social control. Since guilty people feel they are undeserving, they are less likely to assert their rights and prerogatives. Thus, those in power seek to cultivate a sense of guilt among the populace, in order to make them more tractable. This was a theme in Eric Hoffer's The True Believer. Ayn Rand claimed that Christian sexual morality served a similar purpose. Some evolutionary psychologists have said that guilt is a rational human emotion selected by evolution. If a pers ...

Fear: Indigo Passages and Purposes

The Indigo life is no bed of roses. If you have read some of the particular traits of Indigo people, you have learned that we have quite a bit stacked against us in our early lives.

In fact, we are classic late bloomers, and because of this, Indigo youth have a very high amount of difficulty assimilating into the mainstream. This is mostly because the mainstream caters to the average mind and intellect, and most Indigos are far from average. This can result in the flaring of depression, and also the abuse of alcohol and drugs. Sometimes it leads to suicide.

Misdiagnosis of ADD and other 'new age' illnesses add to the confusion, and the youngster is often drugged into submission at a point of life where they need to develop their minds the most.

Fear: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Fall

Fall : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Fall

Fall

A very common dream action generally symbolic of some basic fear in the dreamer's life, such as fear of a moral lapse, job failure, sexual inadequacy, loss of status, etc.; however, the prophetic meaning of this dream is, strangely, very similar in that it indicates setbacks but modified by the details of its action. If, in your dream, you fell a long distance, you can expect the reverses to be general and fairly severe; however, if you landed without hurting yourself, they will be upsetting but quite temporary. If you hurt yourself, you should be prepared to endure some real hardships for a time. To fall from a medium height signifies a loss of prestige; to fall to the floor (as from a standing or sitting position) is a warning of danger from false friends. If your dream involved others falling, it indicates triumph over enemies; and if you fell but got up again, you will overcome the obstacles in your path. To fall into water means financial stress, but the water factor and condition must also be considered.

Fear: Encyclopedia II - Romulus and Remus - Life Before Rome

Before their lives began, Romulus and Remus’s grandfather Numitor and his brother Amulius received the throne of Alba Longa upon their father’s death. Numitor received the sovereign powers as his birth right while Amulius received the royal treasury, including the gold Aeneas brought with him from Troy. But because Amulius held the treasury, thus having more power than his brother, he dethroned Numitor as the rightful king. Out of fear that Numitor’s daughter, Rhea Silvia, would produce children that would one day overthrow him as king, he forced Rhea to ...

Fear: Maximize Your Sense of Well-being On All Levels

"Health" means more than physical ease; it is also ease of mind, heart and soul, and we take that "health" at mental, emotional and spiritual levels with us when we leave our physical bodies behind. Of course, there are no hard lines between any aspects of our beings. What we think affects our bodies, what we do physically affects how we feel emotionally; it is all inter-related
