Eye Dictionary: Mysticism Magick Dictionary on HALLOWE'EN

HALLOWE'EN

Contemporary America has recently begun to reverse its saccharine tendency to allow this holiday (see SAMUIN) to degenerate into a nursery excursion for the amusement of two-year-olds. But it still has far to go if it is to answer its deepest thanaterotic bloodcall. For this is the night when the King of Death causes evil souls to assume animal shapes and to offer horror as the antidote to fear. We would drink the cup of henbane, dine with vampyre and hop with horned toad. We would go to any length to avoid Middle America's vapid sop to carnivals past. We can sympathize with Poe's need to inform us of the hapless M. Valdemaar who was hypnotized into remaining alive, even though his body had already begun to rot. We can understand Burroughs's compulsion to have us shudder deliciously over his Cities of the Red Night and its corrupt fornications bred of death and disease. If these be but scarecrows, why does real blood spurt from their severed limbs? We see here (closed eyelids affording no obstruction of the inner eye's vision) the fulfillment of all necrotic fantasy as we arrive at the other extreme of this dark spectrum, in Sacheverell Sitwell's Journey to the Ends of Time the 3-faced babe, the thing with no body but arms and legs growing out of the head like a spider, the bewitching infans deformis bicorporeus monocephalus et janiceps and all the other hideous postnatalities. So much for children's holidays.

Eye Dictionary: Holistic Health Dictionary I on IRIDOLOGY

IRIDOLOGY

Is the science of reading the iris (colored part of the eye). Accordingly, the iris maps the condition of the body, mind and emotions in a particularly comprehensive manner. It is a comprehensive study, and has been proven to be extremely accurate. There are several schools of thought on this subject, but are unified in the ability to enlighten everyone of their condition. There was a case, where the iris revealed that the subject showed signs of a malfunctioning liver. This person was brown eyed, and had dark brown hair, and within a relatively short time, after a liver cleanse with herbs, his eyes started to change color. They are now hazel, with a blue ring around the outside edge of each iris. It appears that the sludge produced by the ailing liver caused the pigmentation of the iris to change color.

Eye Dictionary: What is Vastu Shastra?

Vastu Shastra is the Indian science of space and architecture and how we may create spaces and environment that supports physical & spiritual health and prosperity.
Vastu Shastra evolved during Vedic times in India. The concepts of Vastu Shastra was transferred to Tibet, South East Asia and finally to China and Japan where it provided the base for the development of what is now known as Feng Shui.
Vastu Shastra is the art and science of designing houses, offices, temples etc that swirl with good energy. Indian Maharajas and Moghul Emperors used Vastu Shastra when they built their symmetrical palaces, artificial lakes, and geometric courtyards that thirstily absorbed positive energy.

Eye Dictionary:

Effects of Evil Eye

The power of an "Evil Eye" is so bad that it could inflict injury or bad luck by the look/glance of certain persons. Hence the tamil proverb, "Getting hurt by a stone is far better that getting hurt by an Evil Eye".

One could have observed that the stretch of important streets are strewn with pieces of white pumpkin which is broken open on the streets to wipe away the evil eye on occasions such as house warming function day, during the construction of a new house, on the day of opening a new account on the "Saraswathi Puja" day.

Eye Dictionary: The Seven Chakras

The Seven Chakras

Apart from the physical body a human being consists of a spiritual body, and this spiritual body is composed of vibrations of light which are structured in a way so that they create different centres. These centres are each structured in a beautiful pattern, and they are located as follows:

Eye Dictionary: Psychic Abilities Unveiled

Everyone has psychic abilities; in fact, we all have psychic experiences daily. Being psychic is not about having some "woo-woo" abilities that one can only be born with. Many of us simply do not have the words or labels to identify what we are experiencing as "psychic experiences."

Eye Dictionary: Indigo and Crystal Children

The terms, "Indigo" and "Crystal" were given to two generations of children, because they most accurately describe their aura colors and energy patterns. Indigo Children have a lot of indigo blue in their auras. This is the color of the "third eye chakra," which is an energy center inside the head located between the two eyebrows. This chakra regulates clairvoyance, or the ability to see energy, visions, and spirits.

Many of the Indigo Children are clairvoyant The Crystal Children have opalescent auras, with beautiful multi-colors in pastel hues. This generation also shows a fascination for crystals and rocks, as you'll read in this book.

Eye Dictionary: Intuition and Psychic Energy - Where Do They Come From?

Intuition and Psychic Energy: Where Do They Come From?

It is easier to train your senses to notice your intuitive impulses if you have an understanding of where those intuitive flashes originate. In every psychic development class I teach, I ask the students where they think psychic or intuitive feelings and impulses begin. Some answer, "from my subconscious mind." Others say, "from my Higher Self." Some believe, "it's dead people talking to you," or "your guides."

Eye Dictionary: Balancing and Charging the Chakras

Balancing and Charging the Chakras

The energy of your body will not be balanced and free flowing if you do not have good emotional balance, good physical health, and good relationships with your surroundings and yourself.

Almost no one is ever perfectly balanced. If you could do this, you would be able to rise from the dead, have a body transformed into a cosmic molecular structure and commune with the gods as an equal.

Eye Dictionary: Of Vedic Philosophy - The Process Of Knowledge

The Process Of Knowledge: An object excites the senses. The mind arranges the sense-impressions into a percept. Egoism refers it to the Self. Intellect forms the concept. It converts the percept into a concept and presents it to the Purusha. Then there is knowledge of the object.

Excerpt from All About Hinduism by Sri Swami Sivananda
