Roughly 100 million Americans have adoption in their immediate family. This means that one in three Americans is intimately connected to adoption. In addition, adoption touches many millions more occasionally or indirectly: the doctors, social workers, lawyers and teachers who deal with adoptive families; the friends, neighbors, colleagues, and classmates of them
This organisational type assigns each worker to two bosses in two different hierarchies. One hierarchy is "functional" and assures that each type of expert in the organisation is well-trained, and measured by a boss who is super-expert in the same field. The other direction is "executive" and tries to get projects completed using the experts

 | | | | * Spiritual Dictionary on Vodou Vodou: Vodou is an animistic Caribbean spiritual tradition, most usually associated with Haiti, which traces its lineage to the shamans of ancient Africa. It blends together (through a process known as "syncretisation") a number of traditional African beliefs with elements from other faiths, most notably Catholicism (the religion of the French slave traders who took the shamans of Africa to the Caribbean New World), but also those of the indigenous Haitian Taino and Arawak people and the European pre-Christian pagans who also came to settle there. Vodou believes in one creator-God called Gran Met ("Great Master") and a pantheon of lesser deities known as the Lwa. These entities, as well as the spirits of the ancestors (''zanset yo'') are directly available to man through the mechanism of possession, a trance-like state where a person is taken over by one of these spirits so it may dispense healing, advice, or wisdom to the community faithful, who are known as Vodouissants. The shaman-priest of Vodou is known as the Houngan and the priestess as the Mambo. Often accomplished healers, magicians, and leaf doctors (herbalists), these spiritual leaders are also experts on the nature, desires, and ways of interacting with the spirits, as well as therapists, counsellors, and doctors for their community.

GARDENING THERAPY GARDENING THERAPY Horticultural therapists (HT) are specially educated and trained members of rehabilitation and therapy teams who involve patients in all phases of gardening. HT professionals use this type of treatment as a complementary therapy along with doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavioral specialists, vocational skills instructors and others. Horticultural therapists are experts on the medical and psychological benefits of gardening and facilitating improvement of the patients' physical, social and mental well-being. Horticultural therapy can be applied at hospitals and institutions, vocational training facilities, nursing homes and assisted living centers, halfway houses, rehabilitation facilities, correctional facilities, schools, arboreta and botanical gardens, farms and horticultural businesses, and community gardens. Everyone who enjoys gardening knows that working with plants fulfills basic human needs. Horticultural therapy can facilitate these benefits on many levels. Groups for whom horticultural therapy has proven to be beneficial include people who are physically disabled, mentally ill, developmentally disabled, elderly, substance abusers, terminally ill and socially disadvantaged. It can be used with families, as therapy for an ailing member, or a memorial to a departed loved one. Gardening therapy may be as simple as plants on a patio, perhaps with small sculptures. Ill children and the elderly benefit from directly experiencing nature: Planting, watching their plants grow and enjoying the blossoming flowers.

Popes-Magicians Popes-Magicians. There are several such in history; e.g., Pope Sylvester II., the artist who made an "oracular head", like the one fabricated by Albertus Magnus, the learned Bishop of Ratisbon. Pope Sylvester was considered a great "enchanter and sorcerer" by Cardinal Benno, and the "head" was smashed to pieces by Thomas Aquinas, because it talked too much. Then there were Popes Benedict IX., John XX., and the VIth and VIIth Gregory, all regarded by their contemporaries as magicians. The latter Gregory was the famous Hildebrand. As to Bishops and lesser Priests who studied Occultism and became expert in magic arts, they are numberless.

 | | | | * Spiritual - TheosophyDictionary on Psychology Psychology In philosophy, the systematic study of mind, as opposed to physics or the study of matter. Applied in theosophy to the attributes, qualities, and powers of the human intermediate nature, contrasted with physiology. In ancient times psychology was the science of soul; and this science being the causative, and physiology the effective or consequential, no one was considered an informed or expert physiologist who was not previously trained in psychology. In modern days, due to an almost utter ignorance of the inner nature of man, psychology has largely been based on physiology, if indeed not a vague type of physiology itself.

 | | | | * Craft Witchcraft Dictionary on SHAMANIC TRADITION SHAMANIC TRADITION: a very individualistic tradition of Wicca as typified by the practice of Shan of the House of the Goddess in London, England. Chanting, Drumming, and simple dance is their way of expressing love for the Goddess. Most Shaman Traditions take their ideas from various sources: Tibet, Finland, North America, South America and Celtic to name a few. They incorporate these aspects into their own rituals. Some groups use natural hallucinogenics such as marihuana and peyote. This path needs an expert teacher if natural intoxicants are involved.
