 | | | Essence: What I Really Want
What I really want is for people who have waited well to know that their wait was worth it, I want those who have been righteous and good to know that these sterling principles paid off, I want those who have prayed to know that they did not pray in vain. I want very much for unhappy people to be happy; for Heaven's greatest movers like Santa Theresa to look down and find that a world which rejected God still has a God which has not rejected the world. I want to see justice done.

FLOWER ESSENCES: Elixir of Alchemy Everyone knows how important flowers are -- for their beauty, their fragrance, their oils in Aromatherapy and perfumes, even sometimes in food. But the most important property of flowers is seldom mentioned: their vibrational essence, and their literal connection to the human electrical system. This is the true meaning of alchemy: to transmute dross into gold -- to transform suffering into joy, pain into learning, dis-ease to health, and darkness into peace and light. Are flower essences capable of doing this? Yes, and more.

 | | | Essence: Love is the Essence of Evolution
Love is the essence of religion too, for it is religion (not organised religion) that teaches ethics and compassion. The story goes that once the Devil and his close friend went for a walk. The devil picked up something from the ground and put it in his pocket. When he was asked by his friend what he had picked up, he said: "I have picked up the Truth". The friend said: "If you picked up the Truth, then your time is up because Truth is the opposite of what you symbolise". The devil smiled and said, "Don't worry my friend, I will organise it". You know what I mean?

 | | | Essence: The Essence Of All
Religion - Laya Yoga Laya Yoga - The
Essence Of All Religion
Yoga is the essence of
every religion and is that what all religions have in common. If a man really
wants to go deeply into the mystical and spiritual essence of their religion,
then he or she comes to practise yoga. We say that yoga is not a religion in a
sense of an individual creed or a sect separating from others, we also say that
yoga is the substance and profundity of every religion and its inner cult. That
is why one can be a member of every religious society and practise yoga. Two
rules, or if one prefers, two commandments present in all scriptures such as
Veda, Koran or the Bible are as if two angelic, divine wings of the Laya Yoga
training. " Be holy because I am Holy" and " Be
so perfect as your Heavenly Father is" these are the signs of an
authentic, spiritual path of universal life.

 | | | Essence: Harder than saying sorry
American Biswanath Halder had always nursed what he believed was a legitimate grudge against his old college. Three years ago he went berserk which left Norman Wallace, a young student, dead. While sentencing him to life imprisonment, the judge told a seemingly nonrepentant Halder that some of Wallace's relatives were in court and that he owed them an apology. Halder responded with: "It's a terrific tragedy and I'm exceptionally sorry." To this, one of the victim's brothers replied: "I do forgive you. I don't want to have that on me. I don't want to be like you." Genuine apologies are, of course, very difficult and Halder's was nowhere near that.

 | | | Essence: A Bouquet of Thoughts for Weekend Cheer
A flower, a thing of beauty, brings joy - but not forever. Soon, it withers and dies. Its transience helps us to understand the value we attach to flowers. Their ephemeral qualities, their fragility and vulnerability, make flowers precious. Flowers are transient like life itself. In all creation, change is eternal. This and their sensory qualities, particularly colour and scent, have made flowers popular as a universally loved symbol of greeting and felicitation. Whether traditionally worn in the hair of women, in the cap of a Himachali farmer or in the buttonhole of a gentleman's tuxedo, flowers are the ultimate in personal adornment, their freshness, unsullied purity and natural perfection enhance the celebratory spirit of the wearer.

Hindu -
Hinduism Dictionary on Soul
soul: The real being of man, as distinguished from body, mind and emotions. The soul - known as atman or purusha - is the sum of its two aspects, the form or body of the soul and the essence of the soul (though many texts use the word soul to refer to the essence only). - - essence or nucleus of the soul: Man's innermost and unchanging being - Pure Consciousness (Parashakti or Satchidananda) and Absolute Reality (Parasiva). This essence was never created, does not change or evolve and is eternally identical with God Siva's perfections of Parashakti and Parasiva. - soul body: anandamaya kosha ("sheath of bliss"), also referred to as the "causal body" (karana sharira), "innermost sheath" and "body of light." Body of the soul, or soul body, names the soul's manifest nature as an individual being - an effulgent, human-like form composed of light (quantums). - It is the emanational creation of God Siva, destined to one day merge back into Him. During its evolution, the soul functions through four types of outer sheaths that envelope the soul form - mental, instinctive-intellectual, vital and physical - and employs the mental faculties of manas, buddhi and ahamkara, as well as the five agents of perception (jnanendriyas), and five agents of action (karmendriyas). The "soul body" is not a body in sense of a case, a vessel, vehicle or enclosure for something else. The soul body is the soul itself - a radiant, self-effulgent, human-like, super-intelligent being. Its very composition is Satchidananda in various subtle levels of manifestation. It is the finest of subatomic forms, on the quantum level. The soul form evolves as its consciousness evolves, becoming more and more refined until finally it is the same intensity or refinement as the Primal Soul, Parameshvara. The experiences of life, in all the various planes of consciousness, are "food for the soul," reaping lessons that actually raise the level of intelligence and divine love. Thus, very refined souls, whether embodied or in the disembodied, ajiva, state, are like walking intelligences with inventive creativeness and powers of preservation, beaming with love and luminosity in their self-effulgent bodies of quantum light particles. See: atman, evolution of the soul, indriya, kosha, Parashakti, Parasiva, purusha, quantum, Satchidananda, spiritual unfoldment.

Shem Ham-mephorash
Shem Ham-mephorash (Hebrew) [from shem name + ham def article + mephorash from the verbal root parash to separate, declare, specify] The separated or distinguished name; a Qabbalistic term for the Great Name, said by some to have been pronounced by the High Priest in the Holy of Holies. "The mirific name derived from the substance of deity and showing its self-existent essence. Jesus was accused by the Jews of having stolen this name from the Temple by magic arts, and of using it in the production of his miracles" (TG 297). This name is a mystical term implying -- but without giving it -- that among all the various names that might be given to the universal spiritual hierarch there is always one which is the highest and closest in descriptive power to the divine essence. From this idea flowed the logical deduction that if one could understand the divine essence sufficiently to realize what this best name for it might be, such knowledge de facto signified that the knower thereafter could wield a mighty spiritual power -- because to understand the divine essence would signify that the understander already was an adept of the highest degree. All countries and peoples have believed that if one could give the exact and proper name to spiritual things, one could control them -- a thought which has real occultism back of it, but which nevertheless has to be properly understood.

 | | | Essence: Look deep within
The Higher Self knows everything about us and sees the bigger picture. It knows all of our past lives, our dreams, frustrations, relationships, our different personalities, the lessons we are learning, all possible choices, the past and our potential future. The Higher Self can be a wonderful guide. Just imagine the possibility of seeing everything more clearly, feeling the joy and security of knowing that your choices are taking you towards your highest good! As we face challenges and move through difficulties, many times we feel lonely, isolated or misunderstood by others. By getting your Higher Self involved in daily life, you will be able to feel loved, nurtured, and deeply understood..

 | | | Essence: Forgiveness and Self-ForgivenessThe act of self-forgiveness changes the energy
and physical structures of your cells, and of your DNA. Guilt is a very
powerful and deadening emotion. Guilt in itself can, as it were, close down the
energy systems of your body, and thereby lessen, and in extreme cases, cut off
the flow of Divine Energy and Love to the body entirely. Because each and every
one of your cells has consciousness, they too can carry the essence and energy
of guilt within them that makes their energy denser.

 | | | Essence: Hindu Philosophy - Vedanta PhilosophyUttara Mimamsa
or the Vedanta philosophy of Vyasa or Badarayana is placed as the last of the
six orthodox systems, but, really, it ought to stand first.
The Uttara
Mimamsa conforms closely to the doctrines propounded in the Upanishads. The
term Vedanta means
literally the end or essence of the Veda. It contains the doctrines set forth in the closing
chapters of the Vedas. The closing chapters of the Vedas are the Upanishads.
The Upanishads really form the essence of the Vedas.

Tantric CelibacyTantric Celibacy: Going
All the Way With Tantric Celibacy
Tantric
yoga, as a system of rituals, exercises, and philosophical teachings, was
developed over the past 2,500 years in a practical search for profound feeling
and awareness. Just as a modern scientist might spend years on a single
research problem, tantric yogis might dwell on a certain feeling for hours a
day, plumbing its every nuance and what it told them about existence. They
became experts in the arts of feeling and concentration.
