Dictionary on Environmental Therapy
Environmental Therapy: Through environmental therapy, practitioners seek to identify significant factors and probable causes of illness or allergy in the individual's life, home, and work. They then work with the individual to lessen or eliminate the impact of toxins and allergens.

 | | | Environmental: Renunciation Keeps Man, Nature Happy - Aparigraha
On September 22, 1931, two icons of the West and the East met in a humble tenement in London. Mahatma Gandhi impressed Charlie Chaplin with his view that supreme independence meant shedding oneself of unnecessary things. Chaplin believed this principle was the basis of Gandhi's political-economic-spiritual argument against machinery. However, what Gandhi told Chaplin that day echoes the Jaina principle of aparigraha.

The TruthOneness: Rise Above Dogma,
Realise The Truth
When I pass by the neighbourhood mosque, I bow my head in
respect just as I do when I pass by the temple. The mullah's call to the
faithful turns me towards prayer and God. I go through the same upsurge of
emotions when I visit a church or gurdwara. When I bow my head in humility to
Christ and the Guru Granth Sahib, I see in them my beloved Lord
Krishna. Similarly, when I hear the Buddhist chant: ''Buddham Sharanam
Gachchhami'', it continues to reverberate within me for long after, giving
me the same sense of peace I experience when I say my usual prayers.

 | | | Environmental: Multiple TimelinesKiara Windrider is a therapist, poet, astrologer, healer, explorer of mystic and shamanic paths and the author of the award-winning book Doorway to Eternity: A Guide to Planetary Ascension.
A new year dawns silent and unannounced in the early morning drizzle. The calendar spells 2002. What will this year bring? It is a year of paradox, the drizzle informs me – the best of times, and the worst of times. It is a year of planetary initiation, of unprecedented events that will change our lives forever. We will shed an old skin, open our sleeping eyes to a new light, and clear away some of the veils that cling so heavily, and yet so comfortably, to our collective soul. It’s a year like never before, and I notice that I enter through its gates with equal measures of trepidation and excitement. My personality carries some trepidation; my soul carries a great excitement. A poem, written long ago, comes to mind: Faint streaks of dawn.

 | | | Environmental: Baha'i Perspective On Gender
DivideBaha'i Perspective On Gender
Divide
Nearly 121 million children around
the world receive little or no schooling, and the majority of these children
are girls. Why is the gender divide so deep? What is holding us back from
pursuing a policy of enlightened self-interest?
The Baha'i international community
has long recognised the importance of educating girls because as future
mothers, they would be better equipped to encourage Generation X - of either
gender - to go to school. Nearly 90 years ago, Abdu'l-Baha said: "The
education of women is of greater importance than the education of men, for they
are the mothers of the race, and mothers play an important role in rearing
children. So, they must be capably trained in order to educate both sons and
daughters".

Shui In Business
During
the past seven years of Feng Shui practice, I have discovered that business
people who adhere to the application of Feng Shui principles in their places of
business and homes have a distinct edge over those who do not.
The
Chinese have known for thousands of years how the environment affects the
well-being and prosperity of governments, families and businesses. They know
how to "read" the energies of the mountains, waterways, trees,
shrubs, slopes of the hills, directions of the roads, and other environmental
features. They also know how shapes and colors define these energies both
outside and inside of structures. When they add compass direction and time to
these distinctions, they can give a comprehensive picture of what any
particular environment will provide for its inhabitants, and how to most
effectively use that space.

 | | | Environmental: Man and Environment: A Symbiotic Bond
The tradition of sanctifying various trees and plants dates back to the Vedic period. Though wood as a fuel was a basic need and trees in general were treated with care and respect, some trees such as the Peepal, Banyan and Neem, commanded more respect than others. The Tulsi (Basil) plant was grown in every household in the centre of the courtyard and ritually watered. The rituals served an important purpose - they made people aware of the environment and its importance and so indirectly helped preserve and nurture it.
