Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Marriage
Marriage [122] - For a woman to dream that she marries an old, decrepit man, wrinkled face and gray headed, denotes she will have a vast amount of trouble and sickness to encounter. If, while the ceremony is in progress, her lover passes, wearing black and looking at her in a reproachful way, she will be driven to desperation by the coldness and lack of sympathy of a friend.
- To dream of seeing a marriage, denotes high enjoyment, if the wedding guests attend in pleasing colors and are happy; if they are dressed in black or other somber hues, there will be mourning and sorrow in store for the dreamer.
- If you dream of contracting a marriage, you will have unpleasant news from the absent.
- If you are an attendant at a wedding, you will experience much pleasure from the thoughtfulness of loved ones, and business affairs will be unusually promising.
- To dream of any unfortunate occurrence in connection with a marriage, foretells distress, sickness, or death in your family.
- For a young woman to dream that she is a bride, and unhappy or indifferent, foretells disappointments in love, and probably her own sickness. She should be careful of her conduct, as enemies are near her.

| | | | Encounter: How to have a dialogue with God
Prayer is a conversation or dialogue with God and the art of prayer is knowing how to speak to and listen to God. If communication is to deepen the relationship of faith, the matter of this conversation cannot be superficial small talk or even mind talk. It must involve a total sharing or encounter of persons. To understand prayer as communication in an interpersonal relationship, it will be helpful for us to notice how human beings come to know and love each other through communication.

| | | | Encounter: Kundalini and Sahaja Yoga (Spontaneous Yoga)Kundalini
Awakening
Kundalini
awakening or pranic awakening and its cross-tradition similars-the spontaneous
spinal rockings known in Judaism as davening and in
Sufisim as zikr; the "taken-over"
gyrations of gospel "holy ghost" shaking and dancing and
charismatic/pentacostal "mani-festations"; the Dionysian
"revel"; QuakerismÕs and Shakerism's autonomic quaking and shaking;
Tai Chi guided by chi itself; the shamanic trance-dance;
BuddhismÕs and Raja-YogaÕs effortless "straight back" (uju-kaya)
meditation; the yogically derived ecstatic belly-dance and Flamenco; and even
the full-bodied, spontaneous Reichian "reflex"-literally embody the
spiritual path.

| | | | | | Encounter: Bhakti as a Way of Daily Life
Bhakti is not kamayamana or desire-driven; it is nirodh , a check on desire. When attained, bhakti makes a person into siddha , perfect and trupta , satisfied. Such a person thereafter has neither desire nor worry, hate, pleasure or excitement. Does it imply dullness? No, it implies fulfilment born of antar-aarama or inner harmony, which could so suffuse the mind as to make the bhakta look inebriated or matta . Does attaining such a state imply stagnation?

Tarot The Tarot cards operate on many levels, describing both
internal developments (emotions, thoughts, intuitive feelings) and external
ones (actions and physical events). Think of the complete Tarot as a map where
each card represents a different piece of a jigsaw puzzle. This puzzle
symbolizes the wide variety of possibilities and experiences available to us
all.

| | | | Encounter: Heartwarming Tale Of A Puppet's Search
The magical, almost other-worldly streets of Florence are lined with shops selling puppets. Pinocchio is everyone's favourite. Wide-eyed and long-nosed, his fixed bemused smile suggests he is not too sure of his much publicised desire to become a 'real boy' - he seems to beg you to take him with you. And many do. Over a hundred years after he was 'created', Pinocchio 's dream of being wanted, of belonging, comes true - again and again. What is it about this simple story that has caught our fancy?

| | | | Encounter: Devotional Worship And Service to All
If we meet no Gods, its because we harbour none, said Emerson. For us, God is not a remote, abstract figure; He is a living, loving Presence. The nirguna or formless God of Shankara’s Advaita is difficult to relate to - but give Him a sweet form and through saguna upasana or worship He can become your very own because of the wonderful ease it creates in human divine encounter. The predominant religious motif of practising Hinduism is this archanam andpadasevanam - the worship and adoration of a God made visible to our eyes in beautiful images, in homes and in temples. It is the ornamental centrepiece of the Vaishnav bhakti tradition set in motion by acharyas like Ramanuja, Madhava and Vallabha.

| | | | Encounter: Selfhisness
is a good thing I have often heard people express a desire to become more sensitive and
compassionate, while confessing that they probably loved themselves too much to
succeed in that ambition. In all the cases I have observed, the problem was
exactly the reverse. It is because we do not love ourselves enough that our
relationships become problematic. Compassion and sensitivity to others are
direct by-products of self-love.

Interpretation - Whale
Whale - To dream of seeing a whale approaching a ship, denotes that you will have a struggle between duties, and will be threatened with loss of property.
- If the whale is demolished, you will happily decide between right and inclination, and will encounter pleasing successes.
- If you see a whale overturn a ship, you will be thrown into a whirlpool of disasters.

| | | | Encounter: Traditional Wisdom Of the Yoruba - African Spirituality
The tradition of Orisa worship was kept alive by Yoruba slaves. But the second generation Yoruba had lost much of the memory of the primal worldview of our Yoruba ancestors. This work was achieved through my personal experience with the Oku folk culture in Guyana, and direct contact with the people who were struggling to maintain the little know-ledge they retained of Olodumare, whom they called Olorun, and the beautiful Orisa tradition.

ThingsAnimal Rights: God of All Things
All creatures, big and small, are beautiful creations of
God. Very often, however, we tend to either ignore the "small" or
exploit them for selfish reasons. This is where religion and spirituality can
help - to restore to us a holistic perspective so that all of God's creations
are given due respect.
Religious thought and spirituality serve a larger purpose
only when they find positive expression in action. Theory without
implementation is of no use. I fear that the concepts of religion and
spirituality are being hijacked by humans for their own selfish purposes,
leaving out all the other, equally if not more valid forms of life.
