One of the often overlooked keys to making visualization and affirmations work is the feelings involved. Imagining success without mixing in a whole lot of positive feeling is nothing more than a mental exercise. But fuel your visualization and affirmations with faith, gratitude, passion, or excitement and suddenly you have a powerful life changing tool. That tool is simply the imagination.

Emotions: Getting Results from Inner Work

A reader writes: "It seems like I only get results from visualizing when I say what I want in an angry or forceful way. If I try to use positive emotions like gratitude or happiness, it just doesn't work.

I've heard that powerful emotions make the process go faster. Are we such slaves to our old thoughts that there's no other way to tunnel through to our inner mind?"

Emotions: Your Creator can be Your Best Friend

Two men went into a mango garden. One man started counting the mango trees and the number of fruit each bore and approximate value of the orchard.

The other man went straight to the owner and making his acquaintance was invited by him to pluck and taste the fruit.

One was busy in counting and calculating, the other was enjoying the delicious fruit. Ramakrishna Paramhansa would cite this example to show the difference between the man of dry academics and the man of devotion.

Emotions: Surrender to God With True Prayer

.Prayer can perform miracle. There is no better meditation technique than sincere prayer.

"We may love God as a parent, as our child, as our beloved or even our friend". Says Amma, "Contemplate Him as your creator, protector and the final abode to where you will return. Open your heart and pray to Him. He cannot sit silent and unmoved when somebody calls Him like that...Without love for God, no amount of meditation will bear fruit.

Rowing a boat against the current is difficult but if there is a sail, it becomes easy. Love for God is like a sail that helps the boat move forward".

Emotions: Intensity of Faith Yields the Truth

A devotee asked Ramakrishna Parmahansa : "Sir, is God real and can I see Him?" Ramakrishna replied: "Yes, God is real. I see Him just as I see you or any other object around me." The devotee continued: "Can I also see Him as you do?" Said the sage: "Yes, you can, if the intensity of your longing for God is equal to the intensity of a drowning man longing for fresh air; or the intensity of a mother longing for the life of her only child in the grip of serious illness; or of the miser longing for more wealth. If your longing for God is at least a fraction of the longing which Radha had for Krishna, then you will see God."

The miracle of healing, is simply the body offering the subconscious mind's 'knowledge of perfect health' when the questioning nature of the conscious mind is silenced. Real faith is about things happening in the present. If it is hundred per cent faith, it must happen.

Emotions: Dreams Interpretation Dictionary - Violence

Violence

{1} If in a dream you behave violently towards a person or animal, some deep-seated anger or resentment is indicated, particilarly if such behaviour recurs in your dreams. The cause may be frustration of a basic desire. Guilt-feelings caused by a desire that was {perhaps wrongly} felt to be illegitimate may be accompanied by anger, either directed outwards against someone {perhaps a parent} who forbade the fulfillment of the desire, or directed inwards against yourself as a form of self-punishment. Therefore, if in a dream you are the victim of violence, this may be a symbol of your tendency to punish yourself.

{2} Even where the violence is obviously directed towards someone else, it may indicate anxiety. For example, a man who dreams of cruel sex with a woman is almost certainly afraid of women and afraid of - guilty about - his own sexuality. The cause of the guilt and anxiety needs to be uncovered, even if it means seeing a psychotherapist.

{3} A violent explosion - volcano, bomb, etc. - will usually mean that some part of you is frustrated and ready to wreak havoc in your life if you continue to deny it an outlet for expression.

{4} Our violence is caused by emotions taking us over; and such emotional take-overs are the result of frustrated healthy desires.

Emotions: Dreams Interpretation Dictionary - Water

Water

(1) Water may symbolize emotions or psychic energy. It is therefore important to notice whether the water is free flowing or stagnant {or frozen}, clean or foul. If it represents your emotions then apply accordingly.

(2} water is a common symbol for fertility, growth, creative potential {especially is it takes the form of a reservoir or still lake}, new life, or healing.

(3) It is also a symbol for the unconscious. Deep water, oceans, seas, large lakes often symbolize the collective unconscious. Smaller bodies of water may symbolize the personal unconscious.

(4) It is a feminine symbol, representing either your own femininity {whether you are a male or female}, or your mother. It is therefore important to note your reaction to the water in your dream. Are you afraid of water in real life? This may mean you are afraid of women {if you are a man}, of your mother, or of your unconscious {hidden aspects that can be emotionally disturbing when brought to consciousness}.

Emotions: Dreams Interpretation Dictionary - Crying

Crying Dreaming that you are crying means a release of negative emotions that is more likely caused by some waking situation rather than the events of the dream itself. Your dream is a way to regain some emotional balance and a way to safely let out your fears and frustrations. In our daily lives, we tend to ignore, deny, or repress our feelings. Drowning

Dreaming that you are drowning means that you are overwhelmed by emotions or repressed issues that is coming back to haunt you. You may be proceeding too quickly in trying to discover your unconscious thoughts and therefore must proceed more cautiously and slowly. If you drown to death, then is refers to an emotional rebirth. If you survive the drowning, then a waking relationship or situation will ultimately survive the turmoil. Seeing someone drowning in your dream, suggests that you are becoming too deeply involved in something that is beyond your control. Alternatively, it represents a sense of loss in your own identity. You are unable to differentiate who you are anymore. Dreaming that you rescue someone from drowning indicates that you have successfully acknowledged certain emotions and characteristics that is symbolized by the drowning victim.
