| | | | Emotional: Soul loss is a spiritual illness Soul loss is a spiritual illness that causes emotional and physical
disease. We all spend a tremendous amount of psychic energy looking for lost
parts of ourselves. We do this unconsciously, and we do this in many ways:
generating dreams and daydreams, experimenting with numerous spiritual paths
and creating relationships that mirror back to us our missing parts, to name
but a few. Many of us today don't feel totally whole, don't feel as if we are
all here. Few of us live as fully as we could.

| | | | Emotional: Reflections on the Dream Traditions of IslamMeaning of Dreams in Islam
Few Western dream researchers have any familiarity with the rich dream traditions of Islam. The Muslim faith first emerged in seventh
century B.C.E. Arabia as a profound revisioning of early Jewish and Christian
beliefs and practices. One theme the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) drew from the
scriptures of those two religions was a reverence for dreaming. In the Quran,
as in the Jewish Torah and the Christian New Testament, dreams serve as a vital
medium by which God communicates with humans. Dreams offer divine guidance and
comfort, warn people of impending danger, and offer prophetic glimpses of the
future. Although the three religions drastically differ on many other topics,
they find substantial agreement on this particular point: dreaming is a
valuable source of wisdom, understanding, and inspiration. Indeed, as I will
propose in this brief essay, Islam has historically shown greater interest in
dreams than either of the other two traditions, and has done more to weave
dreaming into the daily lives of its members. From the first revelatory visions
of Muhammed to the myriad dream practices of present-day Muslims, Islam has developed and sustained a complex, multifaceted tradition of
active engagement with the dreaming imagination.

The twin beliefs of karma and reincarnation are among
Hinduism's many jewels of knowledge. Others include dharma or our pattern of
religious conduct, worshipful communion with God and Gods, the necessary
guidance of the Sat Guru, and finally enlightenment through personal
realization of our identity in and with God. So the strong-shouldered and
keen-minded rishis knew and stated in the Vedas.

Health Therapy Dictionary on Biorhythms
BIORHYTHMS: According to the principle of biorhythms, life is a series of progressive 'ups' and 'downs'. - The physical cycle includes resistance to disease, strength, and coordination.
- The emotional includes sensitivity, mood, perceptions, and mental balance, and the
- intellectual affects memory, alertness, and logic.
Because the cycles are of varying length, they rarely overlap. For example, while the intellectual cycle may be peaking, the emotional cycle may be in decline, and the physical cycle a variant somewhere in between. The 'highs' of the cycles are times of maximum effectiveness, and tend to produce positive thoughts and moods, while the 'lows' are times of negativity and possible risk--because one is prone at these times to make errors of judgment.

Body Energy
The
energy of your body will not be balanced and free flowing if you do not have
good emotional balance, good physical health, and good relationships with your
surroundings and yourself.
Almost
no one is ever perfectly balanced. If you could do this, you would be able to
rise from the dead, have a body transformed into a cosmic molecular structure
and commune with the gods as an equal.

SHEN THERAPY
SHEN THERAPY SHEN is the acronym for Specific Human Energy Nexus and was developed by American scientist Richard Pavek. A scientifically researched form of energy healing, SHEN aims to release emotions trapped in the body, leading to freedom from pain and tension. SHEN teaches that most emotions are held in the torso, at four main sites: the heart, the solar plexus, the kath (below the navel), and the root (the perineum). The practitioner places hands in paired positions on the fully-clothed client who’s lying on the table. The practitioner ascertains the locations of somatically held emotions and determines an appropriate physio-emotional release plan. A naturally occurring energy flows from the practitioner’s hands through the emotional centers of the client’s body in a precise way to discharge debilitating emotions.

Dictionary II on Chakra System
Chakra System The chakras are the bodies centres of energy and vital to the well being of the whole person. They are the energy centres through which our spiritual and emotional energies flow. The word ‘Chakra’ is taken from Hindi and means ‘wheel of energy’ There are seven chakras or energy centres within the body. Each Chakra has certain characteristics and influences a different aspect of the personality. The correct flow of energies through the chakras is vital for health. When the flow of Prana, or energy is blocked, disease results. The Base Chakra, Mooladhara This chakra controls the basic human survival instincts and provides an essential ‘grounding’. Our most basic human instincts originate from this Chakra. The Sacral Chakra, Swadisthan Manipura This is linked to sexuality and reproductive capacity. The Solar Plexus, Nabhi This chakra is said to direct our awareness of self within the world. This is the seat of our emotional life and existence. The Heart Chakra, Anhata Connected to love and compassion. This chakra is the centre of feelings of love, harmony and peace. The Throat Chakra, Vishuddhi Linked to individual creativity and communication. The Brow Chakra, Ajjna This chakra forms the seat of both intuition and awareness. It is seen as the seat of perception, often perception beyond our physical senses. The Crown Chakra, Sahasrara This chakra links to the persons spiritual connection with the universe around them, the link with the divine. This chakra also balances the interior and exterior energies of a person's existence, linking them to the world around them.

Ayurveda Ayurvedic Dictionary on Music Therapy
Music Therapy Music therapy is a scientific method of effective cures of disease through the power of music. It restores, maintains and improves emotional, psychological and physiological well being. The articulation, pitch, tone and specific arrangement of swars (notes) in a particular raga (melody) stimulates, alleviates and cures various ailments. Music therapy has a long history dating back to ancient Greece. King David's curing an illness by playing the harp would count for the same in the Old Testament. Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, used it extensively. In ancient Egypt pain of childbirth was reduced thus. In Indian legends Thyagaraja, the famous south Indian musician is believed to have sung back life into the dead. And in 1729 Richard Browne compiled the well-known Medicina Musica. Music can be defined as "…a kind of inarticulate, unfathomable speech which leads us to the edge of the infinite and lets us for a moment gaze into that." Basically a sound (nada) generating particular vibrations which moves through space and effects the human body. In classical Indian system it usually takes the form of a raga which has four sources - folk songs, poetry, devotional songs of mystics and compositions of classical musicians. Ragas are closely related to time of the day and seasonal changes and emotional status. Symphonies of raga have a definite soothing effect on the mind as well as the body. The muscles, nerves and chakras of affected parts go through alternate contraction and relaxation during impulses and the in-between intervals respectively. This enables energy from a universal energy field to flow into human energy field and affect the central nervous system - roots of auditory nerves being more widely distributed than any other. Also beats in music have a close relation with heart beats with those below the pulse rate calm & relax the system and those above excite & rejuvinate. While ragas can cure tension, blood pressure, heart ailments, insomnia and other disorders, it should be kept in mind that such therapy treatment should be conducted either early morning, evening or late night, never long sessions on an empty stomach and ideally with regular short breaks in between.

SPD is far more common amongst males than females, although this could be due in part to the fact that schizoid symptoms are far less socially acceptable in women.
SPD shares several aspects with depression, avoidant personality disorder and Asperger's Syndrome, and can be difficult to distinguish from these other disorders. However, there are some important differentiating features:
