Astrology and Mental, Emotional and Spiritual HealthVedic Astrology and Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Health In order to maintain a healthy mind we must realize the true realities of life. Therefore we must consider our spiritual nature to understand the subtleties of mind, intelligence and ego. Accordingly mental, emotional and spiritual health go together and, unless you have some knowledge in this regard, you cannot stop the onslaught of negative emotions brought on by ignorance and fear. We not only need to engage ourselves in some sort of fulfilling work to occupy our minds but need to understand why we fall victim to feelings of hate, envy, greed and avarice. These emotions only serve to destroy us intellectually, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. Why is there so much hate in the world, anyway? | | | | Emotion: Encyclopedia II - Emotional intelligence - Measures of Emotional IntelligenceSome researchers believe EI is a cognitive ability just as is IQ (eg, Mayer & Salovey, 2000), while others believe it is a combination of perceived abilities and traits (e.g., Schutte et al. 1998; Bar-On, 1997). These opposing views have inspired two separate domains of inventories – ability-based measures, which focus on maximal performance, and mixed-model measures, which focus on typical performance (Mayer, Salovey, & Caruso, 2000; Petrides & Furnham, 2000). Maximal performance is an indication of the best cognitive performa ...

| | | | Emotion: Encyclopedia II - Emotions album - PromotionCompared to the bombastic and well calculated gameplan of her debut album, the promotion for Emotions was relatively low key. As usual, Mariah went on the top television shows and late night circuits of the time like Oprah to promote her new album, but she did not generate the buzz she did before. Mariah once again faced criticism when she refused to go on tour. In the light of recent scandals at the time involving Milli Vanilli and "fake" artistry, critics once again attacked Mariah, as they believed that she would not tour because s ...
