Emmy: Encyclopedia II - Inside the Third Reich - Description of the Nazi Hierarchy

Speer's memoirs revolutionized the study of Nazi Germany. Despite the popular vision of the country as a monolithic, totalitarian state that ran smoothly, Speer revealed that the country was actually sharply divided by overlapping responsibilities, court politics, and incompetent leaders. Most surprisingly, he portrayed Hitler not as an intelligent, decisive leader, but rather as a lazy, artistically tempered bohemian who worked in spurts. Speer's personal insights into Nazi leaders themselves are nothing short of remarkable, especial ...

The image dissector was invented by Philo Farnsworth, one of the pioneers of electronic television, in 1927. Owing to its lack of sensitivity, the image dissector was mainly used only to scan film and other transparencies in TV broadcasting. It ...

Each show began the same way, with Mister Rogers coming home and singing his theme song, "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" and changing into comfortable shoes and a zippered cardigan sweater.
