ecosystem: The Gaia philosophy - an overivew

Gaia philosophy is a broadly inclusive term for related concepts that living organisms on a planet will affect the nature of their environment - to make it more suitable for life. This set of theories holds that all organisms on a planet regulate the biosphere to the benefit of the whole. The Gaia concept draws a connection between the survivability of a species, (hence its evolutionary course) and their usefulness to the survival of other species.

ecosystem: : Earth Changes and planetary transformation - the supramental awakening and planetary hope

Will we destroy ourselves in ecological catastrophe, human misery, and war? Seismologists and "sensitives" are increasingly talking about major earth changes to come, economic analysts are increasingly talking about a collapse of the global economy, and ecologists are increasingly talking about a breakdown of the entire global ecosystem. Of course we cannot remain in denial about the ecological and political realities on our planet. Somewhere between an ungrounded spiritual escapism based on denial, and a narcissistic preoccupation with gloom and doom, we can choose to intentionally and purposefully envision a brave new world based on the deepest truth of our being. In order to do this we must consciously face our own shadows, seek a genuine hope, commit to rebirth, and open to the light of our guiding truth.

ecosystem: The Indigo's Reality

The reality of our world is a shifting, evolving, dynamic energy field. As part of this ecosystem, humanity is grow, and developing. As the needs of the whole shift, changes need to be made in the parts that make up that whole. So it is with the auras. A new colour-Indigo-has emerged, with ski talents, and physical characteristics significantly different those of the other colors. At this time, most Indigos are still children or young adults. I see Indigo children as a new co invested with new talents and abilities that will be necessary for our evolution. These children have unique characteristics for which we can only guess the purpose.

ecosystem: Gaia Theory - Science of the Living Earth

“Daisyworld and the Gaia Hypothesis are controversial because they touch on the definition of what constitutes life. If we think that life is about the selfish gene, competition, and survival of the fittest, then it is hard to see where the Earth fits in. However, it isn't necessary to think that the Earth is alive in order to appreciate that it is a highly complex system. And, if we say it is alive, why is that so threatening? No one doubts that plants are alive, but they don't do anything nearly as complicated as the Earth does.”

A brief introduction to the intriguing Gaia theory, as developed by James Lovelock, Lynn Margulis and others.

ecosystem: Alternative Health Dictionary on 30-Day Body Purification Program

30-Day Body Purification Program: Group of purification techniques whose principle is that cleansing the body's internal ecosystem with herbs and pure nutrients is the key to restoring a healthy environment in and around the body.

The program embraces: aromatherapy; food combining a la Natural Hygiene and macrobiotics; the Schuessler biochemic system of medicine (tissue salts therapy); and a visualization technique wherein one visualizes dust, toxins, and the color gray leaving one's body.

ecosystem: : Earth Changes - Will there be dramatic Geological and Political changes the coming years until 2012?

There is a lot of information found both in prophecies and in recent writings and articles talking about Earth Changes, usually defined as catastrophic geological events such as earthquakes, volcanoes, polar shifts, flooding, and global warming. Many point to the shifting times and the moving into the Golden Age and to 2012 being a turning point in the history of mankind. The research and sometimes channeled material presented, probably with the best of intentions, often still carries elements of our own subconscious fears but is it only fear based material or is there something to this predictions of Earth Changes?

ecosystem: The Gaia Theory in Science

In science, a Gaia theory is a class of scientific models of the biosphere in which life fosters and maintains suitable conditions for itself by affecting Earth's environment. The first such theory was created by the English atmospheric scientist James Lovelock in 1969. He hypothesized that the living matter of the planet functioned like a single organism and named this self-regulating living system after the Greek goddess Gaia.

ecosystem: Permaculture - a system for sustainable human environments

Permaculture

Permaculture is a system for designing sustainable human environments It can be practised by anyone on any scale from a balcony or small town garden to farms and villages.

"Everything animate or inanimate that is within the universe is controlled and owned by the Lord. One should, therefore, accept only those things necessary for oneself, which are set aside as one's quota, and one should not accept other things, knowing well to whom they belong."

ecosystem: Future transitions

Many factors point at a difficult time ahead with the risk of social, economical, political and last but not least environmental crisis due to the exploration of our Planet. Parallelly, there are many who suggest that we are now on the verge of a transition into a new World, a golden Age.

ecosystem: Child prodigy - Indigo child? Or just a well endowed soul?

Clearly child prodigies have existed for a long time. This is not a new phenomenon. Yet the Indigo Child proponents say this is something new that's happening, brought about as I said because of the period of growth and change.

In some cases the Indigo children are said to have great spiritual talents and are talking with one another through a wide-spread telepathic communication channel between these Indigo children.

ecosystem: Encyclopedia - Gray Wolf

The Gray Wolf (Canis lupus; other forms: "Timber Wolf", "Wolf") is a mammal of the Canidae family. The wolf shares a common ancestry with the domestic dog (Canis familiaris), and, according to most experts, is likely the progenitor of all dogs as they exist today (in which case, the domestic dog would more accurately be classified as Canis lupus familiaris). Gray wolves were once abundant and distributed over much of North America, Eurasia, and the Middle East. Today, for a variety of human-caused reasons involving widespread habitat destruction and excessive hunting, wolves inhab ...

E. F. Schumacher - Protégé of Keynes. Schumacher moved back to England before World War II, as he had no intention of living under Nazism. For a period during the War, he was interned on an isolated English farm as an "enemy alien." In these years, Schumacher captured the attention of John Maynard Keynes with a paper entitled "Multilateral Clearing" that he had written between sessions working in the fields of the internment camp. Keynes recognised the young German's understanding and abilities, and was able to ...

Biodiversity or biological diversity is the diversity of and in living nature. There are a number of definitions and measures of biodiversity. Biodiversity - Etymology. Biodiversity is a neologism and a portmanteau word, from bio and diversity. The term biological diversity was coined by Thomas Lovejoy in 1980, while the word biodiversity itself was coined by the entomologist E. O. Wilson in 1986, in a report for the first American Forum on biological diversity organized b ...

Biological control of pests and diseases is a method of controlling pests and diseases in agriculture that relies on natural predation rather than introduced chemicals. Biological pest control - Overview. A key belief of the organic gardener is that biodiversity furthers health. The more variety a landscape has, the more sustainable it is. The organic gardener therefore works to create a system where the insects that are sometimes called pests and the pathogens that cause diseases are not eradicated, but in ...

Dinosaurs are vertebrate animals that range from reptile-like to bird-like.[1] Dinosaurs dominated the terrestrial ecosystem for over 160 million years, first appearing around 230 million years ago. 65 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous period, all non-avian dinosaurs became extinct. Dinosaurs still exist today in the line of birds (avian dinosaurs). Knowledge about dinosaurs is derived from both fossil and non-fossil records, includ ...
